Sabine Wren in her armor slides a rangefinder over her helmet's viewplate.
Macrobinocular viewplates,[1] also known as a T-shaped visor,[2] or as T-visors,[3] were visors that could be found on Mandalorian helmets, shaped like the letter T. A rangefinder could be pulled over the viewplate to enhance imagery.[4] They could also be found on clone trooper armor and Sith trooper armor.[2] The Imperial Inquisitor, known as the Fourth Sister had a helmet that had a red T-shaped visor. This helmet was worn by Lina Graf.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
Macrobinocular viewplates made their debut in the 1980 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.[6] They were first canonically identified in the 2014 reference book Star Wars Rebels: The Visual Guide, written by Adam Bray.[1]
