"Struck by Lightning" is the eighth episode in Season Seven (and one hundred and eighty ninth overall) of Regular Show. It first aired on September 17, 2015.

Synopsis[]

After being struck by lightning, neither Muscle Man nor High Five Ghost are able to remember each other.

Plot[]

The gang are playing football (the score tied 28-28) before it starts raining. Benson calls off the game and everyone except Muscle Man and High-Five Ghost forfeit. Mordecai and Rigby decide to continue playing in the rain, but lose to Muscle Man and HFG. After telling a "My Mom" joke, MM and HFG high five, getting stuck by lightning in the process.

Muscle Man and HFG find themselves in the hospital and remember everything about themselves but not their friendship. The park gang try everything to get Muscle Man and High Five Ghost to remember each other but nothing works. Mordecai and Rigby decide to do things Muscle Man did with HFG (doing donuts whilst Muscle Man spins his shirt; eating chicken wings). When Mordecai, Muscle Man, Rigby and HFG return to the park, the rest of the gang show Muscle Man and HFG a video of the two doing things together like pulling pranks, helping Muscle Man get up from putting too much oil, etc. At first, Muscle Man did find it funny but grew nervous when seeing HFG looking uncomfortable and doubtful. After HFG decides to call it a night, Muscle Man admits after watching the video, even he wouldn’t want be friends with himself. When asked if he’s not cool, Mordecai said it didn’t matter because he was always cool to HFG. That’s when Muscle Man believes that he is a loser without HFG and decides to high five HFG again, which only results in the two being struck by lightning again.

When Muscle Man and Fives are in the hospital again, Fives decides to go on a road trip and leaves Muscle Man. When Muscle Man returns to his trailer, he views a picture of him and High Five Ghost near the crash pit and tells Starla to tape his shows tonight as he is not leaving without his best friend. After a montage of High Five Ghost packing his bags and getting ready for his trip and Muscle Man digging up the crash pit, Muscle Man arrives at HFG and Low Five Ghosts home, but doesn't make it in time. He spots High Five Ghost heading to the bus stop and asks him for a lift, which is the least Muscle Man could do. High Five Ghost accepts Muscle Man's offer until Muscle Man drives past the bus stop and plans to drive into the crash pit, which is where Muscle Man and High Five Ghosts's friendship started. After driving into he crash pit and remembering events from past episodes, Muscle Man and HFG escape Muscle Man's car by using a grappling hook. After the car falls into the crash pit, Muscle Man tells a My Mom Joke to HFG, ending the episode.
