"Rigby's Body" is the eleventh episode of Regular Show's first season. It first aired on November 15, 2010.
Synopsis[]
Rigby's body leaves him, becoming a bodiless consciousness, after he becomes addicted to the park snacks.
Plot[]
Mordecai and Rigby are working at the snack bar. During their shift, Rigby gets annoyed after Mordecai says that working at the snack bar is lame. The duo then starts arguing by calling each other turds, Pops arrives, tells the two to stop arguing and be turds. Mordecai changes his mind about the snack bar after Pops claims that all the snacks are free and because of this, Mordecai and Rigby decide to gorge on all the snacks but after a while, they start to feel sick. Mordecai decides to stop eating too much junk food and eat something healthy, but Rigby refuses to do so. That night, Mordecai warns Rigby that his body is gonna quit on him if he continues to gorge on junk food. Rigby ignores him by shoving a donut in his mouth but ends up regretting it. After Rigby's body pulls out his consciousness, he decides to rest in a bucket.
The next morning, Mordecai finds Rigby's consciousness in the bucket; Rigby is still trying to convince Mordecai that he was right the whole time, and that eating more junk food really did help. Mordecai goes to Skips for help, which Skips agrees to help (as usual), but says if they don't find Rigby's body and rejoin it before sunset, Rigby will be a bodiless consciousness forever. Skips tells Rigby to stay put. The two manage to find Rigby's body but are unable to sneak up on him as Rigby's consciousness scares the body away. Rigby decides to look for some snacks, but this only makes matters worse after he scares off Muscle Man and High-Five Ghost. Mordecai later asks an armed Muscle Man and HFG if they have seen a magic garbage can (Rigby). Mordecai claims that the magic garbage can is actually Rigby. At the same time, he notices Rigby being thrown into a garbage truck.
In the garbage truck, Rigby meets another consciousness, using the form of a basketball. He tells Rigby that his body gave up on him for working out too hard and failed to retrieve it. When Rigby tells the former bodybuilder that his body is still good, he intends to take it and runs off. Rigby tries to chase him, but trips, falls, and starts to cry. Just then, Mordecai finds Rigby. Rigby tells Mordecai that he was sorry for acting like a loser, with Mordecai being right. Mordecai agrees to help him, and assures him that even if they fail, they always have the roller bucket. Mordecai contacts Skips via walkie talkie to let him know he found Rigby's consciousness. Skips says that is good, but to come back quick, because that they have a problem. They follow Skips and find the former bodybuilder lifting weights in Rigby's body. Rigby tries to get his body back, but the guy tells him, "Finders, keepers". Skips doesn't take kindly to this and after he flexes his pecs and tells him he's gonna do things the Skips way, the guy runs off. After chasing him, they manage to retrieve Rigby's body by running over it. As a result, the bodybuilder's consciousness is ejected from Rigby's body and gets attached to a slide on a nearby playground. Rigby regains control of his now tattered body and after Mordecai asks how Rigby feels, he screams in pain.
Rigby (now in a cast and a wheelchair from his body's injury) admits to Mordecai about being right about the snack bar being lame and decides to not eat free snacks for a bit. Mordecai tells him that the snacks weren't free (it turns out only Pops gets free snacks since he's basically the park's heir) and that they have to work for at least six months to pay off their debt (even though Rigby should be in the hospital due to injury), and Rigby groans "Turds!"
