"Benson Be Gone" is the eleventh episode of Regular Show's second season (and the twenty-third episode overall). It first aired on February 28, 2011.
Synopsis[]
Benson gets demoted to park worker, and starts slacking off with Mordecai and Rigby. Meanwhile, Susan takes Benson's place as manager, slowly transforming the park workers into clones of her.
Plot[]
After Mordecai and Rigby drive through Mr. Maellard's office wall, Benson is demoted to a park manager as Maellard has held Benson accountable for both Mordecai and Rigby's recent shenanigans around The Park and as a result, he is replaced by a new park manager, Susan. After being told to work with Mordecai and Rigby, the duo teach Benson the enjoy the ability to slack off. At first, Benson doesn't enjoy it but later starts to get the hang of it. Things go too far when Susan fired Benson after he refuses to work. As soon as he is fired, Susan then becomes power-hungry and makes the park workers work relentlessly. In one instance, when Mordecai turns toward Rigby, he has a hairdo like Susan's.
Meanwhile, Benson meets a homeless man named Leon who claims that he used to be the park manager but became (as Leon calls it) a full time slacker and quit his job before Benson took over. After seeing what life can be for a slacker, Benson returns to his old personality and returns to the park so he can get his old job back. He runs into Mordecai and Rigby who have transformed into clones of Susan thanks to her aggressive force. Afterwards, Susan arrived and tells Benson to leave but Benson convinces Susan that she can't turn people into her and that's not how a person should manage a park. He then gets the rest of the park workers (who have also turned into Susan clones) to slack off in order to revert back to their old selves.
This aggravates Susan, who goes in the ground to return as a giant and decides to kill everyone. She picks up Mr. Maellard when he tells her she is disobeying orders and Benson tells him to give him his car keys. He does and Benson drives Mr. Maellard's limo straight towards Susan; however, Leon gets in and pushes Benson out of the car. He then drives it towards Susan, knocking out both of the heels on Susan's shoes, causing her to lose balance fall back into a hold, never to return. Leon sacrifices his own life in the process. Benson gets his old job back as park manager and tells Mordecai and Rigby to clean up the mess Susan made or they will be fired; but, they leave to play video games, and despite watching them, Benson gives them a break, glad to have his job back.
