Beetlejuice Beetlejuice brings Tim Burton back to his titular character that started it all and of course Michael Keaton returns. Joining the cast this time around is Jenna Ortega who fits perfectly into the role of Astrid Deetz (Lydia Deetz daughter). Tim Burton continues to keep his Burtonisms throughout with the stop motion creatures and fantastic practical efforts. Where he does struggle though is making a coherent story that is focused as this time around we get too many storylines that get distracting at times and some that just don’t get enough attention. Overall it still makes for a fun film and does hold the nostalgia for those a fan of the original.
