Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

“Some people claim that there's a woman to blame. But I know, it's my own damn fault.”

I’m afraid the impact that Monica Bellucci and Bob will have on pop culture will be impactful, with a magnitude the world’s not ready for.

If there’s one thing to thank the Wednesday show for it’s this film. Personally I didn’t like the show for using a lot of teen show tropes and the romance plots but anyway for helping get Tim Burton back to what he does best and reigniting the spirit and charm of the first film, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a sequel that’s here for one reason, to bring a good time.

The negatives here comes down to its big cast. And yes there was a big cast in the first film but all its characters worked with each other with the story being told there. In this film, yes the characters share some themes and messages but they don’t really work with the story here. A lot are pretty much there to drive the themes or start the plot.

But when they say that first Beetlejuice chant that’s really where this movie shines. The comedy and creativity is going overtime as its cast really go all in with the absurdity here. Michael Keaton fits right back into the Beetlejuice persona like a glove. Winona Ryder gets to shine with her vulnerable performance. I’m glad Jenna Ortega wasn’t given a goth role and just ended up being the most normal person here ironically. And Dafoe steals the show here with the police actor role. And for where the final act of this film goes, to get this 10 minutes of just pure bliss, creativity, and laughs, it was very much worth the experience here.

Like the first film, it was a blender of creative minds with creative ideas creating a world and cast of characters that in other films would be a spaghetti monster of nonsense. And yet the cast and crew here have give you a 5 course Michelin star service with Donna Summer’s playing in the back ground being served by this lovely fucking chef named Bob who is a fu###ng legend and will go down in history as the greatest character in the history of cinema!

We love you Bob, we will always love Bob for who he was. A dedicated worker, but most importantly, a friend.
