Feels too much like a reunion project of the original. Which I guess is exactly what it is with the caveat of swapping Baldwin, Davis and Jones (kind of) for Willem Dafoe and Jenna Ortega. I love this world and enjoy everyone involved, but narratively this comes across as if 10 pages from every idea for a sequel over the past 3+ decades was torn out and then mashed together.
I'd say that the betting odds of me revisiting Beetlejuice over 9.5 more times in my life would be equal to those of me revisiting this over .5 more times.
