Up there with Puss in Boots the Last Wish & Spiderverse as the most visually impressive animated films. This surpassed my high expectations for it and is the best animated film of 2024 for me. DreamWorks really knocked it out of the park. The story of a robot adapting to a new environment is the textbook definition of fish out of water (I love these types of stories). Love the themes of forming family not just by blood. Really the whole movie has a bunch of uplifting themes that were all fleshed out. Great voice cast as well. In particular Pedro Pascal as the fox Fink was outstanding. All the animals behavior and personalities were shown excellently. Only one negative, the music montage moment in the 2nd act felt way too forced. It made me roll my eyes a bit. That's it honestly everything else is to such a high degree of greatness. One of my favorites for this year and I'll be rooting for this at the 2025 academy rewards.
