The Wild Robot is a movie about a robot living in a forest.
With Disney killing themselves, DreamWorks is re-establishing their name... just forget the new Megamind. With this film, it's miles ahead of Disney's for one reason: It's original, not some cash grab sequel like they did with Megamind. First off, this film looks absolutely FANTASTIC! It looks like if Bob Ross made a movie. The characters are great, sure they can be brutal to one another, but they are all unique to each other. Also, this film definitely shows how just because someone is strange, there is no reason to at least give them a chance.
I will readily admit that it is a bit like Wall-E, but it's not a full on rip off like what Dingo Pictures would have done. I would choose this over Wall-E, although they are both great films. Also, if you want a representation of why inclusion doesn't work like some people would expect, the animals in the hut during the storm is a great example. I'm leaving that at that. The last thing I love about this is that everything that happens has a reason. It's not one thing happened for fun, all scenes and dialogue have a function. Very good.
I think this film is great. Love the art in this one.
(Future update: I found out DreamWorks is making a sequel to this film and a live action version of how to train your dragon. I take back my statement about DreamWorks being able to bankrupt Disney.)
