"I live, I die. I LIVE AGAIN!" - Nux
Mad Max: Fury Road is, in my view, the best action movie ever made. That is no small feat as it's a very crowded field (e.g. Die Hard, John Wick, First Blood, The Raid Redemption... to name just a few).
And George Miller, who nose-dived bigtime with Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, released this gem at the young age of 70! Keeping eating your Wheaties George!
The acting is phenomenal:
* Charlize Theron as the most understated one-armed bad-ass out there;
* Tom Hardy for channeling his inner psycho way before doing it in Venom;
* Nicholas Hoult as Nux -- "Oh, what a day... what a lovely day!"
And the choreography of the "road warriors" giving chase -- like ballet if I didn't hate ballet so much.
I was 13 when I saw "Road Warrior<." It took almost 35 more years to feel that kick-ass vibe again.
