Lightning in a bottle from Oz Perkins. One of the most immersive, downright chilling movie experiences I’ve had in a while. A shocking, cruel, stunning movie that had me locked in from beginning to end. Longlegs is something else completely. Forget about Nicolas Cage (he is truly terrifying and unsettling here), Longlegs belongs to Maika Monroe. She gives an astonishing, layered, complex performance for the ages in this thing. What a time to be alive for us horror fans. A cryptic, dark cinematic puzzle. An original and horrific story. Psychologically scarring and deeply, deeply unnerving. Totally recommend.
