Even though I don't really have time to watch a long movie when I get home from work right now, I decided to watch this movie next. I've heard great things about it and since I'm trying to watch stuff that isn't horror, it felt like the perfect time to watch it. I'm glad I did because I had a great time with it, even while feeling sleepy while watching it. The story manages to mix comedy, and action, along with a bit of mystery, to great effect. I didn't find myself laughing at everything that came across as comedy, but it certainly made the story more interesting and fun because of the comedy. I did laugh at times though.

Besides the action and comedy, the story was great. It pulled me in early and didn't let go. Russell Crowe plays the tough guy while Ryan Gosling plays the not-so-tough guy but follows clues easier. They play off of each other very well which is where a lot of my laughs came from. Throw in Angourie Rice who plays Gosling's daughter and it became even better. I was actually surprised at how big of a role Rice ended up with. Seeing her in this movie made me wish she has a bigger role in the new Spider-Man movies. It really is a well-rounded film. I can't say I loved everything about it, but those were minor things really that didn't change how I felt about the film too much. I'm really looking forward to watching this one again.
