i’m absolutely in love with how this movie plays with being a standard crime procedural serial killer thriller but underneath it all it is actually a supernatural satanic horror movie that is harrowing to watch and shows us the lengths a mother would go to protect her child from harm and the horrors of the world. the way ruth laughs at lee in that one scene because she knows lee has been under the influence of the devil from when she was a child and it was never her choice……
anyways, maika monroe plays such a convincing autistic character. i want her to be real and to be my friend…she’s kinda MY female will graham! alicia witt was gorgeous in that nun fit btw
