war is terrible and you cannot refine it. you can push the limits of science but you can't push the limits of men's conscience. theory is practice is design is responsibilities is consequences. war is terrible and you cannot refine it. there is no mention of death until about two hours in. you would think they were constructing a rocket for the science fair. war is terrible and you cannot refine it. science in the hands of men in the hands of politics out of your hands like a genie released from a bottle. or no not a genie a scorching mushroom cloud that obliterated a desert and the people who lived there. a quick cast off "give it to the indians" four years later is not enough. war is terrible and you cannot refine it. you can have the brilliance to bulldoze over good common sense but you better hope you don't get eaten alive by the guilt that comes with it. you make your grave and do not even have the dignity of martyrdom. they will see right through you. war is cruelty and you cannot refine it. you split the atom in the first place. now you live with it.
