Top 5 theater day all time, and best double feature I've ever had in a theater
On the Oppenheimer side, sorry to the Dark Knight stans. This is visually and audibly Nolan's peak. Everything he attempted to do with Tenet and failed, he actually succeeded with (to unbelievable degrees at times) here
There's a scene in hour three that outright feels at home in a horror film. It's been an hour and I keep thinking of it unable to shake it. Can't imagine experiencing this for the first time on a laptop and having that same unnerving sensation that paralyzed me; theaters will Never be topped, not sorry
Thematically if this maintained what hour three provided it'd be top 3 film of the year. It doesn't, it at times loses its way, but the cast holds attention firm enough throughout. Robert Downey Jr hasn't been better in at least a decade. Amazing what you can do away from comics
