visions of stars and atoms, a conflict of mind over matter. the pursuit of science as playing with fire, where world-changing achievements become imperialist tools for destruction. narcissism's descent into a neverending nightmare fueled by anticommunism and american exceptionalism. all painted with strokes as expressive as they are contradicting, where every element struggles and clashes, over & over again, beyond the point of exhaustion. leaves you uncomfortable and restless - nolan's most probing and stirring.
