I believe a superhero movie like this cannot be made again. Richard Donner's Superman has no huge fight sequences or a central plot, it's just a character driven movie with loads of fun and a timeless, amazing score by John Williams. It might appear cheesy to some people, but it made me blissful. Christopher Reeve might be the perfect Superman. He plays both Superman and Clark Kent with grace. His scenes with Lois Lane; played by Margot Kidder are cute. Though a little awkward, they share a great chemistry. Gene Hackman is terrific as Lex Luthor. The way they show that he's bald was kinda hilarious. The effects have not all aged well. But the night flying sequences and practical effects are still solid. This perfectly shows Superman's origin, the characters, the world, and his powers and weaknesses. The scenes in which he shows his powers are fun. Overall, one of the most enjoyable comic book movies.
]]>My second Ingmar Bergman film. It was easier to grasp than Persona, and just like Persona, even if you couldn't grasp every single thing, it still doesn't take away anything from the experience.
Seventh seal is an interesting film. It explores themes of life, death and faith, the meaninglessness and absurdity of all this and Bergman shows them through a young knight who is playing chess with death. The themes are expressed in an effective way through Bengt Ekerot who plays a personification of death. Loved the moments with Jof and Mia with the knight where they show simple, beautiful life. Eventhough black and white, the cinematography is stunning. The lighting, the shadows, it's really well directed. There are a lot of memorable shots in this one. Erik Nordgren's score, though minimal, is something haunting. The dialogues are some of the most profound and thought provoking I've heard. The humour that's in a few scenes also work and doesn't feel misplaced. I'm very thankful to the person who uploaded this movie in youtube in HD quality with english subtitles.
I was pleasantly surprised with the film. Solid debut directorial by Zoya Akhtar. Might be her best work yet. I love it's self aware nature and a really good portrayal of how the industry works. Even though it's made by a "nepokid", the movie shows the struggle of aspiring actors and nepotism very well. Farhan Akhtar and Konkana sen Sharma gave great performances as well written characters. The entire ensemble were convincing as the characters. Be it Rishi Kapoor as the out of touch producer, Isha Sharvani as the privileged starkid or Sanjay Kapoor as the confused director. All the cameos by the stars were good and enjoyable, especially Hrithik Roshan's extended cameo showing a star's perspective and the final cameo. Shankar Ehsaan Loy's music is entertaining. Overall, a beautiful film that made me laugh and cry and portrays the industry honestly.
]]>Squid game is one of the most well crafted series I've seen. It grabs your attention right from the incredible pilot episode and it keeps you on the edge throughout. The characters are all developed very well and that's the biggest strength of the show in my opinion. All the actors give amazing performances. My personal favourite performances would be Lee Jung Jae as Gi Hun, Kim Joo-ryoung as Mi Nyeo and O Yeong_Su who plays player 001. I emotionally resonated with most of the characters and I felt bad for them as the show progressed, especially episode 6. That was one of the most heartbreaking episodes I've seen in any television show. The aesthetic of the show is unique. It's vibrant and atmospheric, supported by the brilliant and eerie background score by Jaeil Jung. The black masked red men, the entire world of the show, it's all very creative. The only flaws I found are the VIP scenes. I found them cringe, but maybe that was the point of those scenes. The english dubbing was distracting, so I watched most of the series in the original Korean with subtitles. All the games are really well crafted and anxiety inducing, especially after you start connecting with the characters. The turns the story take are interesting and engaging. The final twist kinda undercuts some of the emotional weight of episode 6, but it doesn't make the series bad. I'm really excited to see how season 2 turns out!
]]>A solid conclusion to the trilogy and a really fun time. There isn't a coherent plot, it's a mix of many sequences and subplots. The characters don't have that much emotional depth either. But you don't see a Venom movie for the plot. I enjoyed the movie and there was never a moment I felt bored, even the Area 51 scenes. I'm glad that Michelle Williams was not forced into the story one more time. There are many new characters and while some of them are bland, like the lady scientists, the family consisting of the characters played by Rhys Ifans and Alana Ubach was really fun. The CGI for the symbiotes is still top notch. The cinematography is not upto the level of Let there be carnage, but it's fine. There are plotholes here and there, but the rule of cool forgives them all. Tom Hardy completely carried the film. Eddy and Venom are the only characters I care for in the Sony spiderman spin off universe. Their banter is actually enjoyable and you feel the bond. That ending and the montage hit perfectly. It's sad that we won't see Tom Hardy talking to himself in a funny voice again 😔
]]>Ye this doesn't deserve any of the buzz it's getting for the awards season. To say the positives, the ensemble cast were decent in their roles. Especially Zoe Saldana and Karla Sofia Gascon. The movie also starts promising with an interesting plot, but after the 4 year time jump, it all goes downhill. It tries to tell many things at one time and kinda gets all over the place. Even the new identity of Emilia Perez and all is portrayed surface level. I didn't emotionally connect with the character. The story of a person who took a gender affirming surgery being comfortable with their new identity and trying to connect with their daughter is an interesting plot, but the cartel stuff and the other issues it tries to tackle, the musical aspect, it gets all over the place. The musical sequences really feel out of the place. I'm a big fan of musicals, but the musical aspect of this is really unappealing. The visual palette is stunning, but the way the musical sequences are shot are not really impressive and the songs also lack something. The dialogues are pretentious. This is one of the musicals where the songs drag the movie. The makers didn't do a good job with the pacing. It bored me at times. Overall, just overhyped.

]]>Juror #2 is a legal drama with an intriguing story and effective performances. This is my first Clint Eastwood directorial and it was really well directed. It explores the themes of guilt and morality and this really puts you in a moral dilemma. The first few minutes showing the normal life of the protagonist before the main plot begins is really effective in making us understand the dilemma and the emotions of him. It has elements of a who-dun-it, courtroom drama and the jury sequences reminded me of 12 angry men. Nicholas Hoult did a great, subtle performance. I admire how he subtly shows his internal panic without making it very obvious to the other characters. The screenplay by Jonathan Adams is well crafted and one of the best from this year. It says a lot about the American justice system and it's flaws. Every character leaves a trail on the screenplay. Be it J K Simmons who has a limited screentime or any other member of the jury like the ones played by Cedric Yarbrough and Adrienne C Moore. Toni Colette and Chris Messina, both playing lawyers were impressive in their roles. That ending was great I would say... I love the route the makers took with the ending. If this is Clint Eastwood's final directorial venture, I'd say he has ended his career on a high note.
]]>I've not seen a lot of Winnie the Pooh as a child. But I really loved this movie. Might be the best live action iteration of an animated project Disney has done. Ewan McGregor as adult Christopher Robin is a treat to see. Loved how the handled the character and how they show that no matter how much you grow up and how stressful your life will be, you will always have an inner child. This film shows a different side of Hundred Acre Wood and I like how it looks. All the characters of Hundred Acre Wood; Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, they are all fun. Some scenes made me happy and some made me emotional. It makes me nostalgic about something I didn't grow up with. Also, Tigger and Winnie the Pooh's original voice actors did the voice in this one and it is perfection. The characterization of everyone is done well including Christopher Robin's daughter Madeline. The dialogues are something I found entertaining, Eeyore had the best lines. Also, I would like to call out some scenes that were very well written, like the scene where Christopher Robin pretends to fight the hefflaumps and the ending scene. Overall, Christopher Robin is a heartwarming Disney film which I'm glad exists.
]]>The world where literal magic exists, but people don't use that because of the consumer mentality is a great idea. Onward is a story about magic and brotherhood. The protagonists Ian voiced by Tom Holland and Barley voiced by Chris Pratt are really good. Barley especially, is a refreshing older brother character and I loved him very much. The animation is done well and the way they modelled the dragon was creative. Overall, a sweet pixar film with great emotions. I expect more original films like this from Pixar.
]]>Rajinikanth's style >>>
Also, Anirudh's music is a total banger
Civil war is different from a typical war film. It's kind of a road trip movie that explores the war affected US showing a realistic, grounded situation. Just like Alex Garland's other works, the sound design was top notch and is one of the highlights of the movie. The actors performed well especially Wagner Moura, Kirsten Dust and Cailee Spaeny. Jesse Plemons absolutely stole the show with his cameo tho!
]]>Lucky Bhaskar directed by Venkat Atluri is a gripping thriller that tells how your life changes based on your financial status. It's set in 90s Bombay and the production design and details are really appreciable. The screenplay by Venkat Atluri is compelling and well paced. Though the film is 2 and a half hours and doesn't tell one straight forward plot, the storytelling keeps you hooked and never feel bored. Dulquer Salman absolutely kills it as the protagonist Lucky Bhaskar. I love the 4th wall break scenes. That element was properly used and becomes an icing on the cake. Him and Meenakshi Chaudhary share a good chemistry. She also did a commendable performance. Eventhough the story is about banking and stock market, the movie keeps it simple and never makes the plot too complex. Real life incidents like Harshad Mehta scam are seemlessly integrated into the screenplay. The music and score by G V Prakash Kumar is amazing. Especially the score, it elevates the film. Overall, Lucky Bhaskar is an entertaining film with a great lead performance and exceptional story telling.
]]>All that shit on Joseph Gordon-Levitt's face, and he still doesn't look like Bruce Willis...
]]>Predestination is one of the most unique movies I've seen. The premise and the way it's structured, it's something I've never seen before. I'm an absolute sucker for films that use time as a concept and this completely satisfied me. Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook give equally brilliant performances. The first hour of the movie is basically exposition, but it's still interesting because of the unique nature of the story and the score by Peter Spierig. I predicted one of the main twists while it was nearing, but the ending really had my jaw drop! One of the most mind boggling movies I've seen. Totally worth a watch if you are into science fiction. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around this movie.
]]>This review may contain spoilers.
Very normal compared to the dreams I see
]]>Nobody:
Hrithik Roshan for half his screentime in this movie: 😢🥲
We live in time directed by John Crowney is a beautiful film. It is a conventional romance film with used tropes, but the non linear way in which the story is told makes it interesting and stand out from the rest of the movies that uses the same tropes in this. Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh give great performances. They have a great chemistry with each other and I loved the scenes with them being parents to Ella. The things the characters go through in the movie made me go through an emotional roller coaster. It's heartwarming and sad at the same time. I appreciate how the movie keeps it's tone consistent and doesn't go over dramatic in some portions. Also, that ending scene was really good... Overall one of the best movies from this year that I've come across and an emotional experience.
]]>You can't defeat me, you're just a big fat panda
I'm not a big fat panda... I'm the big fat panda!
Absolute cinema 🙌🏻
]]>This was much much more than I expected! Won't say much about the plot because of spoilers, but it was a unique experience watching this. Kishkindha kandham presents an original story that unravels in a very interesting way with someunexpected twists. The screenplay by Bahul Ramesh is one of the best this year. The way the characters are portrayed and the way the story unfolds is really great. Some parts of the movie reminded me of Memento. The performances by the actors are great too. Vijayaraghavan plays a strange character and he has given an amazing, complex performance. Asif Ali conveys emotions very well. His character has gone through a lot... The beautiful, natural locations is another highlight of the film. The score also provides a lot to the experience. Overall, a different, amazing movie that deserves to be seen by more people and appreciated more!
]]>Catch Me If You Can is one of Spielberg's best works! I had a really enjoyable time watching this and it doesn't have a single moment where I felt bored. It's kinda hard to believe everything shown in this movie has happened... Leonardo Dicarpio plays the con man Frank Abagnale Jr with grace and charisma throughout the movie. One of his best performances in my opinion. He's very convincing. Tom Hanks plays the usual detective type character, but his chemistry with DiCaprio is really good and the cat and mouse chase throughout the movie was really entertaining. John Williams delivers an amazing soundtrack. It's different from usual con man film scores. Amy Adams as Brenda is one of the most charming characters I've seen in a movie. Her with braces looked really good and she looked even more beautiful when she took those off her teeth. The screenplay is well written especially with how it deals with the tone. The humour hits the mark and is really funny, and the emotional moments are also conveyed very well. The cinematography by Janus Kaminski is beautiful. There are some shots which really impressed me. Steven Spielberg really is a great director.
Overall, a really fun, entertaining and interesting movie that's totally worth your time
This made me cry like a baby... One of the most beautiful children's movie ever made!
]]>Loved when Harry took the liquid luck and started acting like Daniel Radcliffe.
]]>This is much better than I remember. Watching this first time, I found this mediocre and cringe. But now, maybe because it's because my taste has changed or maybe because of the more context I have after watching clone wars and Tales of the Jedi, I find it a fun time.
I love how this movie takes place in totally different parts of the star wars universe. The rainy Kamino, the Bladerunner esque Coruscant, sandy Tatooine, Naboo filled with flaura and waterfalls, the Colosseum like Geonosis etc. The plot is kinda overwhelming. The romantic parts of the film are still badly written, but "Across the stars" by the maestro John Williams makes it look epic to an extent. I still cringe at many of those romantic scenes but also ironically enjoy it. Obi wan portions were the best parts of the film. Him going from place to place gathering information about the assassination and who was behind it, it's basically a who dunnit. The chemistry of Hayden and Ewan McGregor is entertaining. The humour of this film hits the mark perfectly. Both the romantic and mystery storylines end up together in a satisfying way. The third act is one of the longest I've seen in a blockbuster, but it kept me engaged throughout. The CGI has aged badly. Many of the scenes look cartoony, I'll appreciate the craft that went to making these scenes tho. The way the technicians have created the scenes are fascinating. The CGI being doesn't mean the cinematography as a whole is bad, there are a lot of stunning shots! Also, the way this sets up some things for the future (basically foreshadowing) of the characters and the story is nice. John Williams delivers an iconic score. Across the stars is still one of my favourite pieces of music. That ending is still one of my favourite ending scenes in Star wars, perfectly setting up Clone wars with the imperial march playing in the background. The worst of the George Lucas star wars films, but still an enjoyable time
Jesus Christ what happened to you?
In laws
I started watching Ready or not unaware of it's plot. And this was FREAKING INSANE!!! This is one of the most original horror movies I've seen.
The film hooked me right from the beginning and the way everything unfolds is very interesting. The pacing is tight. Samara Weaving totally killed it as grace! One of the best performances I've seen in a movie. There's only a few fictional characters who have suffered as much as Grace did. Adam Brody as one of the standouts. He was the best written supporting character in my opinion. The brutal tone of the movie is great. The way it blends dark humour, brutal gore, horror is entertaining. This was fun to watch from start to end. Nothing much to say about the score, but that "Hide and seek" song is eerie, that was one needledrop I loved. The ending was CRAZY!
Overall, one of the best horror movies that I've seen with a fascinating, original plot that is definitely worth your time.
Disney, Stop all those upcoming live action remakes, and give me a film with this Octopus!
]]>One thing I love this movie for is how it creates a unique identity for itself. There won't be another movie like this. Coppola's vision is something that is unlike anything that has been created before. Also I like how the actors completely commit to the bizarre tone of the movie. The way they delivered their lines really show their commitment. The dialogues are really interesting. I don't know how to describe it, it sounds completely fake, but that's what makes it fun to watch (eventhough the dialogues are written seriously), similar to Attack of the clones, but worse. Like there's a scene where Nathalie Emmanuel casually says "I saw you change the laws of physics". The casual tone in which characters deliver such things is interesting. "So bad that it's good" is the best way to explain it. I didn't emotionally resonate at all, that'll be one of my biggest issues with the film. Also it bored me at times. The visuals are something really fresh. It looks weird and sometimes really fake but fascinating.
Overall, wouldn't say it's good, but it's watchable. A perfect guilty pleasure movie.
A beautiful movie... After the first 20 minutes, I thought this was gonna be a usual rom com but the way it showed the relationships between the protagonist Tyler and the other characters was really good. Especially with his sister. Robert Pattinson is an amazing actor hands down! The score throughout the movie was great. That ending completely broke me... Didn't see that coming

Joker Folie a Deux doesn't live upto it's predecessor but I liked it. I wouldn't go as far as to call it a "misunderstood masterpiece" or something, I can understand why some people dislike the movie. It is kinda weak as a sequel. It is flawed. But the decision by the makers to not milk the first movie and present something totally different aesthetically and theme wise is bold and appreciable.
Todd Philips has outdone himself with his direction. This is a very well made film. The cinematography is stunning (this might be one of the best looking CBMs) and the musical sequences, I loved them. There isn't a solid screenplay like the first one to give life to the amazing technical aspects, but there are moments. The first act was a good foundation for the movie and till that scene where Arthur sings for the first time the movie is solid. It gets somewhat over the place after that, but still it manages to be engaging. The movie peaks in the courtroom scene with Gary. The emotions in that scene and the acting were perfect and the dialogues in that scene perfectly shows the core of the film. All the performances were great. Joaquin Phoenix gives yet another brilliant performance as Arthur Fleck especially in the courtroom sequences and his last scene with Lee. I loved the exploration of Arthur's mental illness and how he changed. Lady Gaga was also great as the manipulative Lee. I would've loved seeing her as an accurate, psychatrist Harley Quinn but she did well with the role she was given. My only big problem with the film is the third act. It felt lazily written. The guards assaulting him, the bomb just exploding, it all felt like lazy writing. Not a fan of how they totally ignored Nolan's advice about Joker tearing the mouth open. The ending was kinda ridiculous.
Overall, I liked it. Not a masterpiece, but not as bad as many people are saying it to be.
ARM is presented like a folk tale and I loved it. The 3 stories of the 3 different people (all played by Tovino Thomas) were intertwined in an amazing way. The visuals were stunning and it has top notch production value. Tovino Thomas gave a great performance playing 3 different characters. Him as Maniyan is one of the best performances of the year! Surabhi Lakshmi was also a treat to watch. Overall, an enjoyable time.
]]>I had no high expectations, but this turned out to be a decent film. The movie would've been a solid film with a tighter knit screenplay. But the maker's attempt to turn this into a 2 parter ruined it. The movie starts as very focused, and a twist in the end was good, then it ends with a cliffhanger (that's VERY close to Bahubali) with many loosethreads. The twists are weakly executed. But regardless, I still found it entertaining.
Jr NTR has a great screen presence in this as Devara. Janhvi Kapoor was all over the marketing, but in the actual film she's there for like 10 minutes. She has no reason to be there with regards to the plot. She's there for the purpose of being a comic relief and imagining song sequences that has her dancing with Jr NTR. Saif Ali Khan is decent, but not upto the mark considering how great he has performed as a villain before. The production design in top notch and the CGI work for the shark is pretty good, but the colour grading makes the scenes look very artificial. The sea sequences especially. The action sequences were decent, but unintentionally hilarious and the CGI blood was jarring. The plot at most of the times is predictable. The flashback was mostly engaging, but the present day story of his son doesn't take off very well until the very end and then it ends on a cliffhanger. Anirudh was the saving grace of this film. The score was a banger and elevates the scenes very well. Some times it seemed out of the place, but it delivers most of the times. Overall, a typical masala film that's an average fare.

An instant favourite for me! I have not read the original book, but I loved the movie and it's characters. Greta Gerwig knows how to explore intimate and heartfelt relationships.
Loved how the story was structured in the non linear way. It gave more nuance to characters like Amy and more impact to situations like Beth's death. Also I loved how both timelines had a different colour palette. All the actors were splendid. One of the best ensemble casts in a movie. Saoirse Ronan deserves more appreciation as an actress. She is one of the finest of this era! Her and Timothee Chalamet shared an organic and fun chemistry with each other. That scene where he confronts his feelings to her had me tearing up. Florence Pugh was another remarkable performance in the film. I loved her different kind of performances in the different time periods transforming from childishness to maturity. Emma Watson, Laura Dern, Eliza Scanlen all gave great performances, and Bob Odenkirk gave a heartful performance in his limited screentime. The emotional moments in the movie really hit... Those scenes are very well crafted. You feel the pain when Amy burns Jo's novel, you feel very sad at Beth's death, and you feel pure bliss at the end when Jo kisses Bhaer. It is an emotional rolllercoaster.
Overall, one of my new all time favourite movies. A really great film and Greta Gerwig's magnum opus!
Andrew Garfield should do more musicals! He did an amazing job in this one.
]]>I think this was the perfect day to watch this... 🙂
]]>Just an 8 minute short with zero words and still very touching ❤️
]]>Simple, sweet, beautiful.
C Prem Kumar has done it again after 96. I have never experienced any of the things that has happened to the protagonist, but still the movie conveyed his emotions effectively and made me connect with him. Aravind Swamy gives a nuanced performance as the protagonist Arulmozhi Varman. Karthi is really charming and lovable! I really love his character and how he showers unconditional love and respect upon Arul. In general, all the characters are written well. Even characters with very less screentime like the uncle, Bhuvana and the flower seller make an impact. There are many scenes where the characters are just talking about their feelings and they are written very well and many of those moments stay with you even after watching the film. There are moments I felt nostalgic about things I haven't experienced. Overall, Meiyazhagan is a film full of heart and it deserves to be seen by more and more. One of the best and unique movies I've seen this year.
Missed opportunity for a post credit scene where Bathsheba tells Annabelle that she has become part of a bigger universe.
]]>This is like the sweetest movie ever ❤️! It never makes to make me smile! The performances especially Priyanka Chopra, the cinematography, the visual gags, the heartwarming music, Ranbir's charm, the colour palette, it's all perfect. The ending is still a tear jerker... Anurag Basu should return to direct more movies!
]]>Didn't think Chris Hemsworth could pull off the Optimus prime voice. He really impressed me by the end!
]]>Solid action, but overall a downgrade from the first one. 3 stars for Elton John kicking ass.
]]>This is basically James bond if it was ridiculous. Mathew Vaughn cooked hard!
]]>I want to deal with situations in my life like Tom Cruise does in this movie
]]>There has not been a film that has made me feel this much sick and disturbed. I turned my face away from the screen in many instances. While body horror isn't my cup of tea, The Substance is a bold film that makes you feel a range of emotions like dread, disgust and really sick (not derogatory).
It's one of the best horror movies that I've seen with an interesting premise. It's a technically brilliant film with stunning cinematography and crisp editing. The trippy score and the sound design stand out. Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley both play the protagonist in an amazing way. The casting department did a great job, because Demi Moore already looks beautiful but still she is being judged because of the insane beauty standards. The prosthetic work in this film is appreciable especially towards the end. Coralie Fargaet did a great job with the direction. The visual storytelling is done in an amazing way. Dennis Quaid played an arrogant Hollywood biggie with conviction. The gore and body horror parts of the film might be a little too much, but still they leave great impact for what the film tries to say. Overall, a great horror satire movie.
Michael Giacchino is the GOAT !!
]]>Avengers going full destroy mode while "Holding out for a hero" is playing in the background is what Martin Scorcese would call PEAK CINEMA!
]]>The Wild Robot is one of the most beautiful animation films I've seen. It's been a while since I've been this emotionally invested in a movie. The characters in the movie are really likeable. The story follows Roz, a robot who is stranded on an island and have to navigate through the wilderness while forming new bonds and discovering herself.
Roz, voiced by Lupito Nyong, is the best animated robot character since Baymax of Big Hero 6. Roz is an endearing character and I could spent the entire day just watching her scenes. Pedro Pascal as Fink and Kit Connor as Brightbill were very good too. Even the characters with very small parts make a good impression because of how the writers give each character a particular trait. Like the mother possum, the bear named Thorn, etc. The character arc that Roz goes through is emotionally captivating. The humour is perfectly balanced. I had tears by the end, it is pure bliss.
The animation style of the movie is fascinating. Though it is 3D animation, there's something to it that makes it feel like a painting and the vibrant colours are well captured. Spider verse animation walked so that The Wild Robot animation could run. The music is also good. The one track named "Kiss the sky" is one of the best I've heard this year.
Overall, a heartwarming and blissful experience that's totally worth your time
An entertaining film.
A few things that didn't work for me:- I had little to no emotional investment in the hero's love story. The relationship is written in the most basic way for a typical action movie. It's very surface level. Also Lakshya as the protagonist was really mediocre. He's got the physique and he rocks in the action sequences, but acting wise he's mid. I've heard people say this is more insane and better than John wick, but I don't quite agree with that.
Other than these things, the movie is pretty solid. The making style is appreciable; the action sequences are gruesome, raw and extremely brutal. The physical dynamics in the action scenes are something I liked. There's a scene where the hero struggles very much to fight an antagonist much physically capable than him and so, when finally when the hero manages to beat that guy it gives satisfaction. This is also something unusual from other bollywood action films, where the hero can always destroy a villain guy easily no matter his physique. The antagonist Fani played by Raghav Juyal is the most entertaining part of the movie. He plays the role giving a devilish feeling and maniac like mannerisms. Overall, an entertaining action film.
Raazi is an incredible spy film that tells about the nature of war, where relationships doesn't matter, where lives doesn't matter. Alia Bhatt gives her best performance with this as the protagonist Sehmat.
The first half an hour sets up the foundation for the story in a good way and after that, the movie becomes a really intriguing drama. The screenplay is well written and I could feel Sehmat's tension throughout the film. One thing that I love is how all the characters who the story focuses on are layered and not one dimensional. Every action done by the main army officials of both India and Pakistan are reasonable (not justifiable, but reasonable). Vicky Kaushal was the most likeable character in this movie. I felt really bad for him towards the end. The ending was very emotional and made me shed some tears. A really great espionage film.
It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me
I might be the first person to watch the dark knight trilogy in reverse order... I watched rises many years back in cable for the first time and then I watched TDK, which became one of my favourites. Batman begins is one of the best origin stories I've seen. Nolan really paved the way for the later live action Batman adaptations that came through this!
Batman begins fleshes out the character of Bruce Wayne unlike any other Batman movie has done (The Batman comes close). Christian Bale plays Bruce Wayne with a great charm and aura. He portrays both Bruce and Batman perfectly. Both the antagonists of the movie, Ra's al Ghul and Scarecrow and played brilliantly by Liam Neeson and Cilian Murphy respectively. Cilian Murphy especially was very intimidating. Michael Caine will always be the best Alfred for me. Also, I think Katie Holmes was a better Rachel compared to Maggie Gyllenhaal (not that she was bad in the role, but Katie was better).
This movie captures Gotham really well; better than the next 2 films of the trilogy did. Wally Pfister did a great job with the cinematography. The music by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard is absolute PEAK! It's as good as the other two films. The editing during the fear toxin sequences is really good. I loved the Joker tease in the ending of the film that ties directly into The Dark knight very well. Overall, one of the best and underrated comic book movies.

Alien Romulus has all the elements of the franchise: the badass heroine with guns, facehuggers, the Weyland android, kicking out the alien into space, the signing off ending, even the black goo from Prometheus. But instead of telling a story purely relying on fan service and callbacks, the movie presents these elements in ways we've never seen before and still keeps it very faithful to the franchise.
Fede Alvarez has captured the eerie atmosphere of the movie pretty well. The music by Benjamin Walfisch gives chills and the sound design is perfect. The movie is one of the most visually stunning I've seen this year. The AI deepfake Ian Holm felt really unnecessary since they could've used any other android like Michael Fassbender... The practical effects in this movie, however are top notch especially that man-alien thing towards the climax. The CGI was also good ; the space sequences were pure eye candy. The Xenomorph looks better than the last time it appeared (Covenant) imo and it looks more similar to the Xenomorph in the first two films. Also I love how the film has the rusty look and the old tech like the first two films.
The actors were brilliant in the roles they were given. The androids are always my favourite part of the franchise and David Jonsson totally stole the show as Andy. Cailee Spaeny slayed her part. Her and Andy had a really good dynamic and chemistry with each other. The scares also worked for me most of the time. The entire third act was awesome. The acid sequence and the final human alien hybrid are some of the best additions to the franchise!
Overall, personally the best Alien movie for me after Aliens and Alien.
