Alright Nolan...THIS is how you end the era of The Bat.
It shouldn't just end with a bang (at the bottom of the ocean), it should end with a nuke...with some laughter and a boyscout in the mix to add to the spectacle and give you that feel that not only is this the end, but "Shit just got real."
Josh Brolin as old Batman, Crispin Glover as old Joker, and Jon Hamm as old Superman would make for a fucking fantastic live-action adaptation

Even knowing where the story was heading, I was completely engaged with what was happening in front of my eyes, The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 is the perfect conclusion for a Batman story, actually is the best conclusion of any Batman story ever.

I liked how physically big they made the characters. I mean these are larger than life characters after all.
I have a lot more to say but I don’t want to risk spoilers. A lot happened in this one and I mean that as a compliment. They juggled a lot and executed it all pretty well. I’ll say this is a fantastic time and as much as I liked the first installment I enjoyed this one so much more.

Topless Nazis, Superman on a leash, a contemporary cold war, Batman on a horse? Jay Oliva's Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 is the second and final installment in the two-part adaptation of Frank Miller's 1986 comic book miniseries served as a satisfying surprise given how let down I was with the first part. It's an immense improvement and resolved a fair amount of issues I had with the introduction. An overwhelming amount of secondary plotlines all contribute to an entertaining, gratifying conclusion within an exceptionally short runtime of seventy-eight minutes. It's only two minutes more than the first part, leaving me wondering why it couldn't have been an individual picture for any reason other than commercial potential. It's a shockingly pleasing conclusion in an otherwise odd pair of films. I AM BATMAN!!
