Purification in this Everyday Life! (この日常に浄化を！, Kono Nichijō ni Jōka wo!) is the twenty-first chapter of the KonoSuba Nichijou manga series.
Summary[]
With the hot springs of Arcanletia being contaminated by someone, Darkness whose grape juice got purified by Aqua is forced to help her find the culprit. But when asking Aqua about the specifics on saving the town, Aqua only gives a vague plan of capturing that minion of the Devil King's Army so she can turn the coffee milk he wants to drink after bathing into water, without any idea whatsoever about where the minion is located.
Deciding to split up and rendezvous later at the goddess statue plaza, Aqua goes to purify the hot springs as she searches, while Darkness is to ask around for clues. Treating the job as taking a morning bathing tour, Aqua when dipping in the first hot springs notices how long it takes for her purification to clear out the sickening poison, then worries about being seen going around to purify the hot springs because it will make people find out her identity as their patron goddess. The next hot springs she dips into though is quickly purified, making her nervously realise that this is an uncontaminated one. Meanwhile, Darkness continues to tremble in delight from the townsfolk she tried speaking with spitting in disgust.
After a lustrous Aqua reunites with a blissful Darkness who like her had unearthed no clues, she pulls out a magic megaphone so she can notify the townsfolk of the situation and petition for their help, an endeavour Darkness is asked to assist with. This speech she makes from atop some stacked crates, however, has the effect of infuriating the townsfolk instead.
Eventually, Aqua's hunch that something funny is going on at the main spring proves right when the gang discovers Hans busy poisoning it, and following a ferocious battle they manage to defeat him, only for all the hot springs in town to end up being purified by Aqua's power. Having saved the town yet at the same time destroying its key industry, Kazuma has to sadly leave behind their reward from defeating Hans as reparations, before the gang is forced to humbly leave.
But when the party returns to their mansion where Kazuma plans to shut himself into instead of going on quests, they find waiting inside is a tattered Vanir, who tells them about the "Consulting With This Masked Devil!" spinoff story of Konosuba getting a comicalisation that the same artist of this series will be illustrating.
