Killing Time in this Everyday Life! (この日常に暇つぶしを！, Kono Nichijō ni Himatsubushi wo!) is the twelfth chapter of the KonoSuba Nichijou manga series.
Summary[]
Kazuma as he enters Keele's Dungeon with Aqua tells the Megumin left outside with Chomusuke not to cast Explosion even if nobody is watching, so the bored Megumin passes the time by making up new incantations.
Toying with the idea of adding reality to it, Megumin asks Chomusuke to act as a target at whom she pretends to cast Explosion, yet the cat feigning dead by rolling over gives her a shock. Later during a break, she wonders how the two down in the dungeon are doing, and hopes Kazuma may bring back items that interests the Crimson Demon Clan, before wondering what kinds of horrid things Darkness is going through.
Determined to become stronger, Megumin starts her incantations again when Chomusuke leaps at her hat, giving Megumin the idea of both of them chanting together like how she had previously done alongside Wiz. However, this idea doesn't work out due to Chomusuke repeatedly clinging onto her hat's brim.
Meanwhile, Yunyun peeks from the nearby bushes at Megumin seemingly playing by herself since Chomusuke doesn't count as a person, so she silently makes a challenge that Megumin has no knowledge of involving playing by oneself. Yunyun accordingly plays games by herself before bursting into tears, while Megumin gets her hat pressed over her face by Chomusuke and left unable to see.
Satisfied afterwards at her slight growth, Megumin contemplates casting Explosion at the dungeon, though she is stopped by the scream of the panicking Aqua who Kazuma abandons on his way out.
