The Mystery Tower (ミステリータワー) is a magical leaning tower situated in the Kingdom of Belzerg after it appeared next to the city of Axel.[1]
Overview[]
Appearing on a patch of ground where nothing had existed because of enough magic drawn from the magical stone hidden inside it by the Head Researcher, the tower began generating monsters that are actually physical illusions of what those who enter its vicinity fear. There are multiple floors which are either labyrinthine, or are filled with strange and peculiar gimmicks such as darkness, twisting tiles, directional floors, warp portals, and skill binding.
The Adventurer Guild initially sent parties of strong adventurers to scout it out soon after its manifestation, but subsequent to the adventurers returning all terrified and sprouting inconsistent accounts of what they saw, the tower was put under a lockdown order out of safety concerns.
When Kazuma and his party were allowed special entry a month later during their search for the seven magical stones, they managed to brave all the gimmicks and monsters to reach the top floor, where they retrieved the magical stone powering the tower and caused the whole structure to disappear, before it reappeared the next day after its magic recharged.
