The Decayed Fort (

As the present inhabitants of the village now remember it, the fort was constructed long ago for fighting against the Devil King's Army, but soon the overpowered clan of mages discovered that they could fight just as well without fortifying themselves in one spot, and so the fort was left to decay, slowing becoming a dungeon where monsters roam.
Many centuries later, Kazuma and his party went to investigate the fort when they found out that mechanical monsters were flying out from there. As the party explored the labyrinthine walkways which consisted of traps and dark passageways on the outer sections, they discovered that much of the fort, from living quarters in the guard houses and barracks, storage warehouses, as well as the training yards, still remained in fairly good condition. They also rediscovered a structure in the centre of the fort that was usually bolted with a high-technology lock, inside which were ladders leading underground to what the fort was really built to protect.
