The Underground Research Facility Ruins (
Overview[]
The structure along with the facility underground was willed into existence by the NEET scientist from Japan days after he was reincarnated by Aqua as a base filled with underground laboratories and vaults for his creations, and over the years levels and chambers were added. However, it was abandoned after the NEET gave up on his pursuit of robotic maids and headed elsewhere in search of living ones, with a Titan Golem he created early on stationed to watch over the entrance. As the structures above ground fell into ruin, the facility gained a reputation among the local inhabitants as mysterious ancient ruins guarded by strange golems.
Centuries later, Kazuma got fooled by the Adventurer Guild to accept quests for exploring the facility, and after leading his party into defeating the Titan Golem only to discover underground the identity of its creator as well as the tons of useless Japanese junk and dangerous golem girls the idiot left behind, the facility suffered heavy damage courtesy of Megumin.
The Guild later sent other adventurers to scour the ruins, where they uncovered more levels hidden deeper in the ground, filled with even more dangerous golems guarding one of the seven magical stones that the NEET hid there,[2] beyond which is a hidden door leading to a secret research facility.[3]
Dust's party also discovered that the NEET had created a secret space leading from his old living chambers for himself to hide from his employers whenever he wanted to shirk, where he could spend all day reading manga and playing video games.[4]

Trivia[]
- Because the employers noted in the NEET's diary who commissioned him to work on the Destroyer were able to come knocking when the idiot was lazing around in his secret space,[4] it can be speculated that the facility was located within or very close to the now-destroyed Kingdom of Noise.
