"Sleepwalking" is an original song by The Chain Gang of 1974 featured in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.
Description[]
The song was written by frontman Kamtin Mohager along with James Bailey, Rami Jrade and Ryan Ogren, originally recorded for his third studio album, "Daydream Forever". A demo version of the track was released by 1974 in 2012[1]. This version has slight synth differences and additional synth loops between verses and towards the end of the track, not present in the released version.
Before the "Daydream Forever" album was finished, the song was remixed and used and featured by Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto V, as the game's official trailer soundtrack, as well as appearing on various other TV commercials for the game.[ref?]
In the final game, the track can be heard on Radio Mirror Park, and is also used as the first track in the end credits should the player select Option B (The Time's Come) as the final mission. A week after the game's release, Rockstar Games released it on Volume 1 of The Music of Grand Theft Auto V, the game's soundtrack album, where it appears as the final track, track 18. The original track was released on The Chain Gang of 1974's aforementioned "Daydream Forever" album in 2014, over a year after the track's first appearance. An acoustic version of the track, alongside the original single, was also released by Warner Bros. Records in 2014, as a promotional single.
