The RC Cam is a small "flowerpot" in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
The RC Cam is a crudely made flowerpot that, although bears the "RC" in its name, is not exactly a remote-controlled vehicle, but nevertheless behaves similarly to a normal vehicle. Given the "Cam" designation, the RC Cam is probably a camera disguised as a flowerpot, but there is no actual camera on it which suggests it would be hidden inside and covered in dirt. The RC Cam reuses textures of flowerpots from Manhunt, albeit with a different model.
It features functional headlights and taillights that light up at night, and it is capable of generating skid marks (despite having no wheels). Nevertheless, the RC Cam still lacks an engine noise, damageable parts, and a collision file (thus being partially unable to collide with other vehicles). When the player character enters the vehicle, he opens an invisible "door" and sits on it. The vehicle has capacity for two people.
In The Definitive Edition, the RC Cam now spawns with four wheels, though everything else remains much the same.
Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
Performance of the RC Cam can be described as mixed, due to its very compact construction. The flowerpot is highly nimble due to its very short wheelbase and light weight, and is moderately good in speed. However, its short wheelbase also increases the possibility of the vehicle spinning out, and the low ground clearance of the RC Cam makes it more difficult to control on bumps. The vehicle's handling causes it to be impossible to flip over and explode and will always flip right back up.

Availability[]
Since the vehicle is cut content, it does not spawn at any time during normal gameplay. The original intended purpose of the vehicle was unknown until 2021 with the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, when additional internal files have shed light on its background. The vehicle was to be used during a Caligula's Heist prep mission, in which the player had to use the RC Cam disguised as a plant pot to take pictures of the guard using the keypad.[1]
Trivia[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
- The vehicle technically has customisation options for visible wheels, nitro and even Hydraulics.
- Because of its tiny structure, both the driver and the passenger would clip each other, like if both are using the same seat.
- If the player would get a wanted level while in the RC Cam, the police dispatch wouldn't mention it when reporting the player's crime.
