The Playground side-missions are four side-missions in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. The missions are triggered by accessing a PCJ-600 parked at random locations, which begins a time trial where the player must pass through a set number of checkpoints within an allotted time. The reward for each mission is $500. Two missions (Playground on the Park and Playground on the Dock) are exclusive to the PS2 version. They are required for 100% completion.
Playground on The Town[]
In this race, the player needs to pass through 26 checkpoints in Downtown under a time of 1:35.
Playground on the Point[]
In this race, the player needs to pass through 27 checkpoints in northern Vice Point under a time of 1:30.
Playground on the Park[]
In this race, the player needs to pass through 25 checkpoints in a parking lot in Ocean Beach under a time of 1:10. This side-mission is only available for PS2.
Playground on the Dock[]
In this race, the player needs to pass through 27 checkpoints in the south of the Bayshore Avenue and in a boat under a time of 1:15. This side-mission is only available for PS2.
