Taking the Fall is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories given to protagonist Victor Vance by his brother Lance Vance from his apartment in Ocean Beach, Vice City
Mission[]
Lance is talking to their accountant on the phone just as Vic enters. The two have a brief talk before heading out. When outside Vic asks Lance about who stole their coke. Lance, after thinking for a minute, mentions that Bikers are to blame. Vic flies a Maverick over to Starfish Island, where some Bikers are riding on their bikes. When Lance kills them all, Vic flies over to a hotel construction site in Downtown where Lance kills more Bikers. After a shoot-out, the chopper is continuously shot by a biker, causing Lance to fall from the chopper. Vic then bails out of the burning chopper and starts making his way inside the hotel to find Lance. When all the Bikers are dead, Lance comes out of a room on the hotel with a bike. When Vic asks him where the coke is, he says they sold it and leaves.
Mission Objectives[]
In order to complete the mission the player must:
- Get in the helicopter.
- Take Lance in the helicopter to kill those bikers.
- Tilting the helicopter will lower Lance's balance.
- Lance will stop firing if he loses his balance.
- Keeping the helicopter level will improve Lance's aim.
- Take Lance to kill more bikers at the hotel.
- Take Lance to kill more bikers on the hotel roof.
- Fight your way through those bikers to save Lance.
- Go up the ramps in-between the scaffolding and hotel to find Lance.
- The bikers are all dead. Find Lance.
Rewards[]
The reward for this mission is $300. A Biker Angel now spawns at Lance Vance's Apartment.
