Will You Love Me Tomorrow/Head Over Feet by The Shirelles (Carole King's version)/Alanis Morissette is a mash-up that is featured in Jagged Little Tapestry, the third episode of Season Six. It is sung by Jane and Mason.

Jane and Mason perform this mash-up for Rachel and Kurt's weekly assignment. Throughout the performance, Kurt is reminiscing his moments with Blaine. Jane and Mason both share looks and appear close throughout the song as the Alumni and glee club watch. As the performance ends, Rachel compliments them while Kurt is more critical, saying that Mason should have put in more choreoghrapy, as he is a cheerleader. Rachel then replies that it was their first performance and to go easy on them, leading to friction between the two of them.

Lyrics[]

Jane:
Tonight, you're mine completely
You give your love so sweetly
Tonight, the light of love is in your eyes

Mason with Jane (Jane):
But will you love me tomorrow? (Hey, yeah)

Mason:
Ooh, I had no choice but to hear you
You stated your case time and again
I thought about it, yeah

Jane (Mason):
You treat me like I'm a princess (You're a princess)
I'm not used to liking that

Mason with Jane (Mason):
You ask how my day was
(Oh!) You've already won me over,
In spite of me,
And don't be alarmed if I fall,
Head over feet,
And don't be surprised if I love you,
For all that you are (Yeah!)
Will you still love me tomorrow? (Yeah!)

Jane (with Mason):
(Tonight) with words
(Mason: With words) (unspoken)

Jane (Mason):
(Oh) When the night (When then night)
Meets the morn- (Meets the morn-)
(Jane and Mason: -ning sun!)

Mason with Jane (Jane):
(You've already won me over!)
In spite of me,
And don't be alarmed if I fall,
Head over feet
Don't be surprised if I love you,
(Mason: For all that you are) (All that you are!)
Will you still love me (tomorrow?)
(Mason: You've already won me over)
Will you still love me tomorrow? Oh, yeah…
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Yeah, yeah

Trivia[]

  • Will You Love Me Tomorrow was written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, but the original recording of the song was performed by The Shirelles. Carole King would later record her own version of the song for her album Tapestry.
  • This is the first duet of Season Six between current members of the New Directions.
  • This is also Jane's and Mason's only duet.
  • This mash-up contains the third of the four songs by Alanis Morisette that were covered in the show, the other ones being Uninvited, Hand in My Pocket and You Learn.
    • Coincidentally, they were all sung in Season Six.
    • All of them except for Uninvited were featured in Jagged Little Tapestry and come from Alanis Morisette's debut album, Jagged Little Pill, which was released in 1995.
