Friday I'm In Love by The Cure is featured in Child Star, the ninth episode of Season Six. It is sung by Spencer, with the New Directions singing back-up.
Spencer walks in the hallway when he see Alistair reading a book. He walks up to him but Alistair walks away. Then Spencer starts to sing this song, directing the song to Alistair while watching him in different places. He later performs this in the choir room with New Directions enjoying the song. Mason and Madison share mad and annoyed glances to each other. Rachel says how they wouldn't expect a love song from him. Will says that it was great but not what they'll do at Myron's party. Instead, he is looking for new combination, suggesting him with Jane and Roderick. Spencer says he wouldn't do it with a quitter like Roderick, which heats the tension between them and Roderick once again calls him a dick. Rachel is visibly horrified by this.
