The Professors have an impactful first meeting in a library.
The Professors is Girl Genius fan terminology for the creators of Girl Genius, the husband and wife team of Phil and Kaja Foglio. Phil and Kaja have in-story avatars that appear in the comic in both side stories and the main continuity. The joint nickname comes from the fact that these avatars are both faculty members at Transylvania Polygnostic University.
Both Kaja (who prefers the title Professoressa) and Phil (who is fine with Professor) are devoting the latter part of their academic careers to chronicling the life of Agatha Heterodyne, on whom they have done very extensive research. (Although they don't let that get in the way of a good story!)
