About me[]

I first encountered Phil Foglio's work in the form of "What's New with Phil and Dixie" in Dragon Magazine way back when it first came out. I thought it was cleverly written, well drawn, and very funny. It was often the only reason I opened up Dragon Magazine (my brother had a subscription to it, not me). At some point I stopped reading "What's New" (I think my brother stopped getting "Dragon") and, although I remembered Phil's name well enough that I had a "Wow! He's not dead," moment when I discovered Girl Genius, as far as I was concerned, he might have dropped off the face of the earth; I was completely unaware of anything else he was doing.

I encountered Girl Genius in the most bass-ackwards way imaginable. Sometime in April 2010 or a little earlier, I was engrossed in the TV tropes web site and I came across a reference to the names Agatha Heterodyne and Gilgamesh Wulfenbach, and I thought, "Those sure are interesting names." I did a quick Google search and I soon was a rabid GG fan.

Playing in the sand[]

You may also wish to create a personal sandbox for working on your own projects.

I have created a personal sandbox just try try things out. Actually, I made two, by mistake. I guess both will stay for now, since I can't seem to delete any pages, even ones I have made myself.

Future Plans[]

I need to think about the topic below. Something needs to be done, so I am adding this link as a reminder:

As anyone who has been following my work on this wiki has probably realized, I favor longer pages that compile a lot of disparate information. The following pages were initiated by me and are still mostly my work. This may be because no one else is particularly interested in the topics, but, if so, that's fine with me. I'm certainly amusing myself.

I intend to polish up the last page in the list above, which still needs a lot of work and I have vague plans to revise the Girl Genius page, possibly moving some of the information from my Guide into it. I may also split off and expand a Publication History of Girl Genius page.

Finding the time to do any of this is another story, however!

Signature[]

It was a wrench, but I changed my signature to use an emoji: 🔧 (html entity code: 🔧)
