Trivia

• Yae Miko's weapon does not appear during her Normal Attacks, but it does appear during her Charged and Plunging Attacks.
• One of Yae Miko's tails briefly appears at the end of her Plunging Attack.

Etymology

• The Chinese and Japanese versions use the term shiki ("law," "ceremony," or "formula"), which in the context of mystic arts is used as a shortened form of shikigami, or supernatural familiars in Onmyoudou (a type of yin-yang philosophy in Japan). While paper-familiars are the most famous type in folk tales (as in Shiki Taishou in this game), other spirits can be summoned as shikigami as well. Onmyoudou is often associated with fox spirits and there even is a folk legend that the onmyouji Seimei's mother Kuzunoha was a divine kitsune goddess who served the great god Inari.
