Trivia[]
Etymology[]
- The Japanese name "Keichitsu no Norito" can be figuratively translated as "Liturgy of Thunderstorms."
- Norito (translated as "Blessing") refers to liturgical verses and prayers in Shinto.
- Keichitsu (translated as "Enlightened") is the Sino-Japanese reading of 启蛰/啟蟄
Qǐzhé, which in turn is the ancient name of Jingzhe (Chinese: 惊蛰 Jīngzhé, lit. "Awakening of Insects"), a certain day or period in the traditional Chinese calendars (roughly mid-March as a period). It is usually associated with spring thunderstorms, as they are said to startle the hibernating insects in this season (thus "Awakening of Insects").
