Trivia[]
- Despite making a brief cameo in the Philoctetes: Go From Zero to Hero in XII Weeks sponsor seen at the end of the episode, Daisy doesn't appear in the episode itself.
- While trying to sing the National Anthem, Goofy sings a couple of songs that are patriotic and about America, but not quite the National Anthem ("America the Beautiful", "My Country, 'Tis of Thee"). He even sings some random songs that aren't even close to being the National Anthem, like "Camptown Races", "Yankee Doodle", "Oh, Susanna!", "I've Been Working on the Railroad" and even "Rock-a-Bye Baby". He eventually does get the National Anthem right ("The Star-Spangled Banner"), but at the end of the show after Mickey signs off, he only sings the first few words of the song when the iris closes in on him before he can even finish it.
- In fact, during Goofy's first unsuccessful attempt at singing the National Anthem, he strips himself naked to refer to the song lyrics of "America the Beautiful" pasted all over his body.
- When the iris closes in on him, he exclaims, "Hey!", thus breaking the fourth wall.
Censorship[]
When this episode aired on Disney Cinemagic UK, the scene where Ludvig Von Drake mixes up a concoction in a blender using inedible items such as a clothes iron, an alarm clock, an entire pepper shaker, a zipper and liquid tornado to create his signature "energy drink" is cut, presumably to prevent little kids from attempting to create this concoction using electric blenders. In the edited version, the final result of Von Drake's energy drink is shown, but not the mixing of its ingredients. [1]
