Trivia[]
- King Louie was originally supposed to appear instead of Larry, but a lawsuit filed by Louis Prima's widow meant that a stand-in had to be created. If this lawsuit didn't occur, then King Louie would've gotten the part, and the episode would've been titled "King Louie Swings In".
- This is the first House of Mouse episode to feature a full classic cartoon (unless one counts the Motor Mania clips that appeared in "Max's New Car", or the inclusion of Pluto's Christmas Tree and Mickey's Christmas Carol in Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse).
- When the short "Mickey and the Seal" is shown in this episode, the 1960s Buena Vista opening logo is kept intact, unlike most of the other classic cartoons shown in the series where they had their RKO/Buena Vista opening titles cut.
- This is the only episode in the entire series where Mickey wears his trademark red shorts and yellow shoes within the "House" portion, despite them being spotted in Mickey's dressing room in the pilot episode, and not counting the Mickey Mouse Works cartoons shown on the House of Mouse big screen.
- The flashback of Donald accidentally dropping Baby Simba during the cub's presentation at Pride Rock is a deconstructed parody of the "Circle Of Life" scene from the beginning of The Lion King. The final outtake of The Lion King seen on the film's 2011 Blu-ray release where Rafiki accidentally drops Baby Simba off of Pride Rock during the cub's presentation may have been inspired by the version from this episode.
