"House Ghosts" is the fifteenth episode of House of Mouse. It originally aired on Toon Disney's New For You Show! on October 10, 2003.

Synopsis[]

It's Halloween at the House of Mouse, and Pete unleashes some grim grinning ghosts onto the club to try and scare everyone away. Meanwhile, Donald tries his best to win the costume contest.

The animation for the opening sequence of this episode was recycled into Mickey's House of Villains.
Pluto doesn't appear in this episode itself, outside of his appearance "Pluto Gets the Paper: Spaceship".
This is the only episode to include references to Pixar films, despite no Pixar characters actually appearing (for obvious reasons at the time); Donald dresses as Woody, Buzz Lightyear, an LGM and Flik.
This is the only episode Pete has been seen naked
Mr. T voices and appears as himself during a blooper sequence starring Hades.
The main aspect of the episode is the song "Grim Grinning Ghosts" which originated in The Haunted Mansion ride.
Mickey is wearing the same vampire costume from Donald's Halloween Scare.
This is the second and final time where Pete is wearing his underwear and socks, the first being in "House of Scrooge".
This is Pete's final appearance in House of Mouse.
This is also the last House of Mouse episode where Mike advertises for the show's sponsor at the end.
Daisy tells "Paul Bunyan" (actually the Dwarfs in their Halloween costume) that he "must be this short" to enter the club, despite Chernabog and Willie the Giant, both of whom are much taller than Paul Bunyan, being regular guests (with the former even having a cameo roughly a minute earlier).

Cameos[]

Skeletons (The Skeleton Dance): are seen doing their Skeleton Dance with Pete during the song Grim Grinning Ghosts. They were later seen applauding after the 1st cartoon.
Lonesome Ghosts (Lonesome Ghosts): seen scaring Pete and pulling down his underwear making him naked. They were later seen lifting Mickey up into the air to introduce the final cartoon.
Hatbox Ghost (The Haunted Mansion): seen scaring Pete in a graveyard, while the song Grim Grinning Ghosts plays.
Executioner (The Haunted Mansion): seen scaring Pete and having tea with the Hitchhiking Ghosts.
Hitchhiking Ghosts (The Haunted Mansion): seen frightening Pete during the episode's version of "Grim Grinning Ghosts". They were later seen at the end of the episode appearing right next to Donald Duck.
Bride (The Haunted Mansion): seen standing with her hand extended with Pete running up to her and kissing her hand, before it disintegrates off of her arm as she becomes a corpse.
