I am Yvette Corkrean, a mother of two teenagers and a registered nurse who has served my community for the last twenty-five years as a Registered Nurse. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, at California State University Fullerton.

In January 2021, I was appointed a delegate of San Francisco Republican Party, then voted in as Volunteer Vice Chair. I’m a State Delegate to the California Republican Party. I was active with both the successful recall of the District Attorney Chesa Boudin and the three San Francisco School Board Members.

I volunteer and advocate for Robert Kennedy Juniors Foundation Children’s Health Defense, Howard Jarvis Repeal the Death Tax, and Protect Kids California.

“Keeping Us Safe” is of my primary. I will work to increase prosecution and penalties for violent criminals, fund and support law enforcement efforts, which policy includes better support for first responder’s, crime victims and those suffering with severe mental illness.

Reviving our state’s economy is crucial for retaining jobs and maintaining a high quality of life. I will author legislation to reduce unfair regulations and excessive taxation.

A solid education is the best remedy for the success of our children.

  • Improve public safety - I support funding of law enforcement, increase penalties on violent criminals and fentanyl dealers, human traffickers and pedophiles, and revising Prop 47. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, only 4 percent of the people arrested for drug sale in the Tenderloin are convicted. We must have a more effective enforcement system.
  • Economic Revitalization - We need to reduce regulations and taxation to stimulate the economy and to keep companies form leaving our state. We must continue to reduce inflation. We need better job-training programs to help our citizens find good-paying jobs.
  • Education - I favor a merit-based education where we refocus our children's education on reading, writing and arithmetic, not social justice issues. We need to prioritize helping children who have fallen behind so they can get up to grade level. Parents must know what is being taught in their children's schools and no secrets are kept form parents.

“Keeping Us Safe” is one of my primary goals. As your state senator, I will
work to increase prosecution and penalties for violent criminals. We need to fully fund and
support local law enforcement efforts and cease being a haven for crime. Public Safety must
come first for a civilized society.

Protecting children from the dangers of irreversible sterilization as well as girls and women's sports.

Working to fight the war on Human Trafficking and to increase penalties of human and child trafficking.

To exemplify the high standards of the institution, to work hard on big problems, to treat colleagues and the public with respect.

I love California. It has seen so much greatness, so many triumphs, over the years. Now, it has fallen on hard times. In San Francisco, there aren't as many people on the streets. Many stores have closed. The city's biggest shopping mall is almost empty. The verdict is in. The policies of the last 10 years have failed. Our leaders have damaged our economy and made it easier for criminals to steal and sell drugs openly. I want to see our district shine again. I can't imagine a better legacy than helping to make that happen.

At age fifteen and a half years old, I was hired at Safeway in Vallejo California as a courtesy clerk/grocery bagger. I moved up through the company until the age of 20 years of age. At that time, I was in a significant car accident, fracturing my back therefore was unable to continue my job duties and had to resign from my job.

They should work closely together for the good of the people of California. We need to get away form partisan divides that are all about scoring political points.

Fiscal balance - We have a rich state. We can have balanced budgets if we avoid excessive spending and borrowing.

No I do not believe one NEEDS previous political experience to hold office. Often it is good to bring new perspectives to government.

Absolutely. Finding like-mined legislators and forming alliances can be a powerful way of turning good ideas into laws and stopping bad ideas from becoming law.

Yes, the legislature should seek to avoid the overuse of emergency powers.

Yes, compromise is essential to making policy and passing laws. However, lawmakers shouldn't self-censor. They should aim high when formulating policy and hold to their values.

I would seek to introduce legislation requiring that women's sports, prisons and shelters be for biological women only.
