The Joint State Government Commission is a joint legislative service agency of the Pennsylvania General Assembly that no longer fell within Ballotpedia's coverage scope as of March 8, 2021.
Per the Senate and House Rules, joint committees of the Pennsylvania General Assembly are assigned by the president pro tempore and by the speaker of the House.[1][2]

Function

It provides the legislature with a readily available mechanism for conducting interdisciplinary studies. The Commission is comprised of a diverse research staff experienced in statistical analysis, survey methods, report writing, making policy recommendations and drafting legislation.[3][4] | ” |
