Pratt's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[10]

Business Climate

  • Excerpt: "We need to realize that we compete in a global economy and with neighboring states. Reducing the cost of doing business and investing in infrastructure will attract business investment and create good-paying, stable jobs."

Role of Government

  • Excerpt: "Local government is the best able to meet the unique needs of its community. Cities, counties and school boards have been unfairly burdened by mandates with a “one size fits all” mentality coming from St. Paul."

Personal Taxes

  • Excerpt: "I believe Minnesota should flatten the tax code and expand the tax base. Our current system, especially sales taxes, are regressive and hitting the lowest income families the hardest."

Life

  • Excerpt: "I am pro-life."

Voter ID

  • Excerpt: "The credibility of our election system relies on assuring we have credible votes and voters. As the only candidate with real world identity theft protection experience, I stand ready to defend the integrity of elections"

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Minnesota

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
