Alonzo Washington (Democratic Party) is a member of the Maryland State Senate, representing District 22. He assumed office on January 30, 2023. His current term ends on January 13, 2027.

Washington (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Maryland House of Delegates to represent District 22. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Gov. Wes Moore (D) appointed Washington to the state Senate on January 27, 2023, to replace Paul Pinsky (D).[1]

Washington earned his B.A. in criminal justice and criminology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2007. His professional experience included working as chief of staff and legislative aide to Prince George's County Councilman Will Campos.

Elections for the Maryland House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Incumbents Tawanna P. Gaines, Anne Healey and Alonzo T. Washington defeated Rushern Baker IV in the Democratic primary. Lynn White was unopposed in the Republican primary. Gaines, Healey and Washington defeated White in the general election for three seats.[3][4][5]
