This crunchy Asian slaw tastes amazing! This is my dad's recipe and is the perfect side for anything from a casual backyard BBQ to a formal holiday meal. You'll never want to eat regular slaw again!

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 8 servings

  • 1 (3 ounce) package beef flavor ramen noodles with seasoning packet

  • 1 (3 ounce) package roasted sunflower seed kernels

  • 3 ounces sliced almonds

  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped

  • 1 cup bottled oil and vinegar salad dressing (such as Newman's Own)

  • ½ cup white sugar

  • 1 (16 ounce) package slaw mix

Directions

  1. Gather all ingredients.

  2. Crush ramen noodles in a bowl. Stir in seasoning packet, sunflower seeds, almonds, green onions, oil and vinegar dressing, and sugar; mix until sugar is dissolved.

  3. Place slaw mix into a large salad bowl; pour dressing mixture on top and toss lightly to combine well.

Cook’s Note

For the best flavor results, I like to chill this slaw for at least 1 hour before serving.
