About this audiobook
He was my deepest revelation and my darkest secret.
Bad boys were never my thing, unless they existed within the pages of a book. Until Alex Moss came to my rescue like some sort of avenging angel. He saved my life, which is why I believed him when he told me the threat against my life was back, and only he could protect me. With his dark hair, golden eyes, and broad shoulders, the warlock was hard to resist. Yet even as his kisses made me crave more, there was something about him that frightened me. It wasn’t until I tasted his blood that I knew it wasn’t magic that brought us together, but fate. The warlock is MINE.
I saved her from a curse, only to get caught in her spell.
Kenya Darce was like no other vampire I’d ever met. Adorable, quirky, and sexy as hell, she turned me on with one look over the top of her black-rimmed glasses. But ever since the night I exorcised the spell from her body, we’ve had a connection between us. It was completely unexplainable, but it was there. And now the thing that tried to kill her is back, and I’m the only one with magic dark enough to fight for her. Forbidden to go near her, I couldn’t stay away.
Nothing and no one will keep me away from her.
L.E. Wilson
L.E. Wilson writes paranormal romance starring intense alpha males and the women who are fearless enough to tame them — for the most part anyway. ;) In her novels you'll find smoking hot scenes, a touch of suspense, some humor, a bit of gore, and multifaceted characters, all working together to combine her lifelong obsession with the paranormal and her love of romance. Her writing career came about the usual way: on a dare from her loving husband. Little did she know just one casual suggestion would open a box of worms (or words as the case may be) that would forever change her life. Lattes and music are a necessary part of her writing process, and sometimes you'll find her typing away at her favorite Starbucks. She walks two miles to get there, to make up for all of those coffees. On the weekends she likes to hike, garden, cook vegan food, and have date nights with her favorite guy. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a great installment in the series but the last few chapters are uploaded wrong. File 22 is a repeat of file 20 and the actual 22 is labeled 24. So I guess listen to it like #20, 21, 24, 23, 25.
Also the female narrator is kind of terrible. I feel so bad about saying that but yikes. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The book was a decent addition to the Deathless Night series, although the main characters were far less developed than in other books. However, the female narrator was the absolute worst I’ve heard! Her cadence is clumsy and awkward, and her attempt at an Irish accent is offensively awful and distracting. I found myself sighing in relief each time the male narrator began a chapter. So with that in consideration, it’s completely possible that my opinion of the book was colored by my struggle to actually listen to the voice reading it.
