What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a collection of short stories with potential for a full-length book. The stories are light, fast-paced, and enjoyable, although some readers wished for more substance and character development. The world-building and characters are charming, and the underlying lore adds depth to the stories. There are cute witchy romances, including a fun queer romance. While some readers felt that the stories were too short and lacked a fully finished ending, overall, the book was surprisingly enjoyable and a pleasant surprise. It would be interesting to see a full-length novel from this author.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It was okay. It felt like someone was writing the rough draft and decided that was it. Each story had a good storyline that I would have gladly read if they were longer.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Happy I gave this book a shot, but I I definitely wish they were longer. Right when I was ready for the hot and heavy, it stopped.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The stories were interesting. I loved all the different POVS and it was sexy but not to overboard
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I greatly enjoyed these short stories. I will definitely look for more works by this author.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was so cute ! Like for real ?? Loved it !
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Felt like a lot was left out of each story, even though every story was great, they didn’t really end with everything fully finished. I wish they were longer.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This is an Interesting storyline with a plot that keeps your interest
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Interesting short stories with some potential for an actual book around certain characters. Light and fast read.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I wish were was more substance. If the stories were longer I could see myself being hooked
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love this setup! I need more! A whole series would be fantastic…
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5There were some really cute witchy romances in here. Normally not my type of book but I needed a touch of romance in my life so I gave it a chance. It had some pretty conventional romances but the author threw in a fun queer romance as well which was great. The underlying lore was also pretty fleshed out, which made me more invested in the story. I think the sex scenes were a little bare, and one was even lacking a sex scene, but all in all it was pretty good.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Surprisingly enjoyable. I enjoyed the short stories of all of the witches of New Orleans
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Exactly what I wanted from this: funny, romantic and witchy!

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I think this book tried to include too and it was two short, but the overall storytelling was okay. I enjoyed the book and wish it was longer.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was a pleasant surprise, to bad it was such a short little novella.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Cute little romance novella. I would be interested to see a full length novel from this author.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was okay very confusing and all over the place. Parts I felt were rushed considering I think it’s about 5 different New Orleans Witches.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Can't agree with some of the reviews, it's a collection of 5 short stories about women finding love in a fictional modern day world. The stories are only connected by the fact that these women work together as the 'town witches', and have their own conclusions or open endings according to their individual characters.
Some of them are a bit more steamy than others, but all of them are captivating and incredibly well written. I flew through the book and hope to see or hear more of the author!1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This wasn’t good.
The idea had so much potential with world building, witches, spice, etc.
I would like an entire book about each of the witches1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5So I have mixed feelings on this one. It's a series of 5 short stories, which means the pace of each story went super fast, almost too fast for love to form. I feel like this was a starting point and each short story could be developed into its own book creating a series and it's a series I would probably love, it has all the supernatural and feel of New Orleans. However in this format it was just...ehhh...
Also, I was not a fan of the narrator. Early on she gave the characters each their own voice with an accent she could not carry throughout so I keep getting confused because, especially in the last story the female lead started the book with a Cajun accent and sometimes when she spoke she had no accent or would start and then it would disappear and by the end she sounded Jamaican. It was a real downer for me.
Overall, I think this had potential, but was given the wrong guidelines. I would like to see it developed into something more someday.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Not made it through the first chapter, thinking the book had a plot. It doesn’t.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Cute, short and sweet. Better then other reviews make it out to be. Nothing spectacular but it was fun

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Not really my cup of tea. Not much in the romance department. More like a wham, bam, you know what I mean type of thing. LOL I prefer more character development before they hit the sack...

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I have no one to blame but myself for this decision! While the synopsis is indicative that this might be a story of five witches, it was exactly different mini novellas in one short story. At times some characters made appearances, but for the most each is separate. The insta-love predictable especially with the length, I genuinely feel this could have been so much better if the stories were expanded and intertwined with one another.
