The Fire Ring Mystery

My name is Anisa. I was in Hawaii on vacation. I enjoyed sipping refreshing drinks, overlooking the turquoise ocean, and dancing with others, before I overheard that the priceless Fire Ring was stolen from the Museum of Hawaii History. The minute those words entered my ear, I switched myself to a mission mode.

When I reached the museum, I saw a gigantic and fascinating building. And the inside exhibitions were even more fantastic. When I entered a small glass dome where the Fire Ring had been displayed, I found the glass cut very smoothly. I looked around the dome for more clues; I found a tuft of orange hair and tucked it into my pocket.

I then visited the museum director. This man had the saddest expression on his face. I asked, “Can you please tell me more about the Fire Ring’s glass dome?”

He explained that the glass was very strong and only the purest diamonds could break through. I asked him about the local jewelry stores that sell diamonds.

I was about to lose hope until the last store. There, I requested to see the purest diamond.

The shop owner went to a shelf to get a little box and opened it. “THE DIAMOND! IT’S GONE!” he shrieked. Panicking, the man said, “It must be her, she stole it!”

“Who?” I asked.

“Yesterday, a woman in a flamingo-covered shirt came to my store. She demanded to see the purest diamond, just like you did,” he explained.

I couldn’t help asking, ”Does she have orange hair?”

He answered, “Yes!”
