A longtime Luzerne County employee working as a grant writer has been named the acting division head of operational services, county Manager Romilda Crocamo announced Wednesday.
Michele Sparich, who has worked for the county since 2003, will replace Jennifer Pecora, who resigned last month.
In addition to working as a grant writer, Sparich previously served as interim purchasing director, Crocamo said. She also manages the county’s insurance and is part of the county administrative team responsible for overseeing the county’s federal American Rescue Plan Act program.
Sparich’s salary will be $98,8000.
