The Kiwa Initiative launches a news call for regional projects. This call for regional projects aims to implement NbS projects for climate change adaptation in the Pacific while mainstreaming gender equality and a human-rights-based approach. This call is open from 15 July to 15 December 2024.

The “Médiamig” program aims to help improve media coverage of migration issues in six countries: Côte d’Ivoire, Jordan, Lebanon, Madagascar, Senegal and Tunisia.
AFD is launching a call for projects in each of these countries to recruit a consortium of organizations from the media, research and civil society sectors.

This call for projects aims to select one CSO consortium that will create and implement a financing mechanism (intermediated fund) and capacity building activities for local feminist CSOs. The general objective is to support the action of feminist CSOs from partner countries of France’s international development and solidarity policy. The theme of this call is bodily autonomy in sexual and reproductive health.

AFD is launching a research program to examine how demographic structures and dynamics as well as plural forms of socio-economic development are articulated/intertwined. The research should clearly identify, describe and analyze these articulations, both from an academic perspective but also with a view to informed operationalization and facilitation of dialogues that AFD conducts with its public partners in the countries of intervention.

This call for projects aims to select two CSO consortium that, one in Latin America and one in Africa, will create and implement a financing mechanism (intermediated fund) for feminist CSOs active locally in 4 countries respectively.

The Digital Energy Facility launched the Digital Energy Challenge in 2021, for a duration of four years, with an annual Call for Projects. To bring together a community of actors with a common interest in modernizing the energy sector, a dedicated platform was launched at the end of 2023: the Digital Energy Platform.

This proposal intends to fund support to advance the evidence base and understanding of different inequality dimensions.

The aim is to fund small-scale public space upgrading and community infrastructure projects co-designed and co-produced by residents and urban stakeholders, and implemented in close collaboration with local and national authorities (Ministry of Public Works, Monrovia City Council, Paynesville City Council).

The Organising Committee for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the French Development Agency (AFD) are launching the fourth and last session of the Impact 2024 International call for projects to promote sport as a tool for development in Africa.

Who can apply? The call for projects is open to African structures (associations, foundations, local authorities, associative sports clubs, federations, CIG/ EIG, cooperatives, state structures, public structures, other declared groups) as well as French associations and foundations.

AFD is conducting research to improve the qualification of physical risks related to biodiversity loss for financial actors and macro-financial balances of countries. In this context, and following on from work on the limits of physical biodiversity scenarios, AFD’s research department is launching a call for research partnerships to develop a pragmatic approach to assessing physical risks that requires improving proxies while being aware of their imperfect nature.

AFD is lauching a multi-country call for proposals on Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH). This call for projects aims at recruiting a consortium of CSOs that will build and implement a financing mechanism (intermediated fund) for local feminist CSOs and SSEs in different countries. The overall objective: to support the action of feminist CSOs and SSEs in French development policy partner countries. The project will pursue a goal of improving menstrual health and hygiene for women and girls, especially the most vulnerable, using a rights-based approach and taking into account the multidimensional factors of inequality.

AFD is launching a call for proposals for the implementation of an Urban Fabric Initiative (UFI) in Kigali, as part of the Kigali Informal Settlement Upgrading Project (KISUP). The aim is to fund small-scale public space upgrading and community infrastructure projects co-designed and co-produced by residents and urban stakeholders, and implemented in close collaboration with local authorities (community representatives and City of Kigali).

This call is dedicated to research projects that address the contribution of the commons to democratic issues and citizen participation. Research questions will be addressed through the lens of social and environmental justice.

This call for proposals is an initiative that aims to promote innovative solutions for sustainable development in order to facilitate their replications and bring together different actors and ecosystems. The two main objectives: to share experience and knowledge and to create networks and dialogue around innovation.

Agence Française de Développement is willing to finance international and national Lebanese non profit organizations to implement a program aiming at improving local development, access to urban services, and strengthening social cohesion and addressing gender inequalities in several vulnerable urban neighborhoods in Lebanon impacted by the Syrian crisis. This project will be funded through AFD Minka Middle East Initiative and Denmark’s development cooperation (DANIDA) grant.

Open to French and international civil society organizations (CSOs, this call for projects aims to fund feminist civil society organizations in partner countries of French development and solidarity policy and their actions in favor of equality between women and men in and through education.

Building on the ESGAP methodology, AFD is seeking propositions to conduct research on sustainability assessments in a multi-country perspective in developing countries.  This call for expressions of interest is the first phase of the selection process. The aim is to fund one to two research projects, tentatively starting by the end of June 2022.

AFD proposes to subsidize organizations CSOs or other non-profit organizations for the establishment of a mechanism for financing, strengthening and structuring feminist organizations whose main objective is equality between women and men. The call for projects is aimed at three areas of crisis and conflict: the Sahel, Central Africa and the Middle East, with a concentration of funding on CSOs on the African continent up to 65%, according to a defined framework.

This call is funded by the Support Fund for Feminist Organizations (FSOF) and the Minka Peace and Resilience Fund. 

Within the frame of Kenya Informal Settlement Improvement Program (KISIP 2), AFD is launching a call for proposals for the Urban Fabric Initiative (UFI) in Nairobi. The aim is to fund small-scale public space upgrading and community infrastructure projects co-designed and co-produced by residents and urban stakeholders, and implemented in close collaboration with local and national authorities (counties, NMS, KISIP).

The call for expressions of interest targets research on two related themes (one with the other in a "mainstreaming" perspective): transformative changes in development models (development of knowledge to integrate biodiversity into agricultural, land use and urban sectors and related policies) and mobilization of financial resources to support these changes.

AFD is launching a call for research proposals for a systematic review about the intersection of thematic issues around the education sector and ecological transitions, with a particular focus on developing and emerging countries. The review will address one of the three priority questions identified in this call, namely: the effects of education on climate change mitigation, on adaptation to climate change, or on biodiversity protection and conservation. It will gather, synthesise and evaluate the available evidence on these issues, and identify the main knowledge gaps and levers for action for development projects.
 

The aim of this call for expressions of interest is to identify experts and scientists with the capacity to produce a synthesis of the knowledge products of the ECOPRONAT programme based on the results of the research and work carried out during its implementation.

The call for project proposals seeks to encourage field-based actions founded on holistic approaches which uphold the intrinsic links between human health, animal health (both domestic and wildlife) and the health of ecosystems (land, aquatic and marine) in the assembly of projects, primarily targeting environmental issues.

Who is this call for? The call for proposals is open to legal persons which the FFEM can support within the scope of its mandate: civil society organisations, governments, local authorities and communities, public institutions, research bodies, the private sector, foundations, international organisations.

Geographical areas: Eligible countries are all those listed as recipients of publicly-funded development assistance via the OECD  DAC, with priority given to the African continent.
Multi-country and regional projects are eligible.
