Bruce Lorne Campbell (born June 22, 1958) is an American actor, voice artist, director, writer, producer and author. A cult film actor, Campbell is best known for portraying Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's hit Evil Dead franchise, from the 1978 short film Within the Woods to the currently ongoing TV series Ash vs. Evil Dead. He also has starred in many low-budget cult films such as Crimewave (1985), Maniac Cop (1988), Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat (1989), and Bubba Ho-Tep (2002). He has since made small appearances in successful films such as Darkman (1990), the Fargo film (1996) and TV series (2015), The X-Files (1999), Ellen (1996-1997), Charmed (2002), Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy (2002–2007), Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009) and Cars 2 (2011). Campbell is of Scottish descent.
Campbell started his directing career with Fanalysis (2002) and A Community Speaks (2004), and then with the horror comedy feature films Man with the Screaming Brain (2005) and My Name Is Bruce (2007), the latter being a spoof of his career. In television, Campbell also is known for his lead roles in both The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (1993-1994) and Jack of all Trades (2000), his starring role of Autolycus (the King of Thieves) in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess (1995-1999), and notably for his role as Sam Axe on the USA Network series Burn Notice (2007-2013).
Bruce Campbell (15 June 1912 – 9 January 1993) was an English ornithologist, writer and broadcaster, closely associated with the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO).
Campbell was born in Southsea, Hampshire on 15 June 1912. As a young boy, he was influenced by his father, an army officer, birds-nester and egg-collector, who later became the British Army's Inspector of Physical Training. After education at Winchester College, he studied at the University of Edinburgh, obtaining a BSc in forestry. He later gained a doctorate in comparative bird studies, so becoming one of the first field naturalists to also be a trained scientist. In 1938, he married Margaret Gibson-Hill, herself a writer, with whom he had two sons and one daughter. From 1936 to 1948, he was a teacher and university lecturer. After World War II, he brought the work of sound recordist Ludwig Koch to the attention of the BTO. In 1948, Campbell was appointed the first full-time secretary of the BTO, a post he held until 1959. He served on the panel of the Wildlife Collection with Julian Huxley, and was active in the British Ornithologists' Union, the British Ecological Society, and conservation bodies. He conducted a pioneering study of the pied flycatcher at the Nagshead woodland reserve, Gloucestershire. He made radio and television broadcasts relating to natural history for the BBC during the 1950s. In April 1959, despite his having had no previous experience as a producer, he was appointed senior producer at the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol, a position he held until 1962. He died on 9 January 1993 in Witney, Oxfordshire.
(Keith) Bruce Campbell QC (25 October 1916 – 1990) was a New Zealand-born British lawyer, judge and politician. As a barrister, he specialised in divorce law, and during a brief Parliamentary career he also concentrated on family law issues. His term in office as a judge ended in scandal and enforced removal from office.
Campbell was born in Christchurch, New Zealand and attended Christchurch Technical College and Canterbury University. He moved to London in the late 1930s to undertake postgraduate training at the University of London. When his course was over in 1941 he was given an officer's commission in the Royal Army Service Corps; he served in North Africa and Italy.
On demobilisation Campbell was called to the bar at the Inner Temple. He practised in divorce law, usually on the North-Western circuit, and served on the General Council of the Bar from 1956 to 1960 and from 1965 to 1970. He was made a Queen's Counsel in 1964.
A head of state is the highest-ranking position in a sovereign state and is vested with powers to act as the chief public representative of that state. In most countries, the head of state is a natural person, but the position is held by a body of persons in the Federal Council of Switzerland and the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and, in two other United Nations member states, the position is held by two persons jointly: the Co-Princes of Andorra and the Captains Regent of San Marino. The role and functions of the office of a head of state may range from being purely ceremonial figurehead to one that wields autocratic executive power; as the nature of the position of a head of state is for each state to decide; and although several models or patterns exist, there are many idiosyncrasies in different states which preclude tidy classifications.
The office of a head of state is often distinct from a head of government. For example, the distinction is made in article 7 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, article 1 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Crimes against Internationally Protected Persons, including Diplomatic Agents and the United Nations protocol list. In parliamentary systems like the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Federal Republic of Germany, for example, the monarch and the president are recognized as their respective heads of state, while the prime minister and the chancellor are recognized as the heads of government. However, in republics with a presidential system, as in the United States and the Federative Republic of Brazil, their presidents are recognized as being both heads of state and heads of government.
This is a list of heads of state, government leaders, and other rulers in the year 1794.
Heads of State also known as BGT was formed at the end of 2008 by New Edition members Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant. During the Home Again tour in 1997, Jam & Lewis, who suggested that the other three members of New Edition Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe form Bell Biv DeVoe in 1990, also suggested that Bobby, Ralph and Johnny form a trio, but they were never able to accomplish their goal until 2008. They began touring in 2008 as a trio on the Summit Tour. On July 3, 2011, Heads Of State reunited with Bell Biv DeVoe as "New Edition" for the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana. As of 2011, Bobby, Ralph and Johnny were still touring as "Heads of State", as well as working on their solo projects.
Bruce Campbell (October 20, 1909 – June 17, 1995) was a professional baseball player from 1930 to 1942. Campbell began his career with the Chicago White Sox, but had very little playing time in the major leagues. In 1932, Campbell was traded from the White Sox to the St. Louis Browns, with Bump Hadley, for Red Kress. In St. Louis, Campbell was a starting outfielder, and performed well, driving in 106 runs in 1933. In the 1935 season, Campbell played with the Cleveland Indians, after being traded for multiple players and cash. In Cleveland, Campbell hit for considerably higher averages than he had in St. Louis, although injuries limited his playing time.
In January 1940, the Indians traded Campbell to the Detroit Tigers for Beau Bell. The trade worked out for Campbell, as the Tigers won the American League pennant, and Campbell played all seven games of the 1940 World Series. Campbell had nine hits, four walks, scored four runs, five runs batted in and a home run in the World Series, with a batting average of .360, on-base percentage of .448 and slugging percentage of .520.

On the bloody heels of yesterday's red-band trailer for the new Starz series Ash vs Evil Dead, we have a two-minute sneak-peek that goes behind the scenes of the new show. Star Bruce Campbell returns in the title role he made famous in Sam Raimi's original 1981 horror film. Raimi also returns as Executive Producer of the 10-episode half-hour series that premieres later this fall. Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, and Jill Marie Jones join the cast for the latest supernatural adventure. This new look inside the production of Ash vs Evil Dead goes a long way toward reassuring fans of the cult movie series that the signature humor and over-the-top gore will be carried onto the small screen. Campbell's likely to have quite a few new one-liners after this series is all said and done,...

New series on USA for Summer 2007. Stars Jeffrey Donovan as a mysteriously fired CIA operative [i.e., spy]; Bruce plays Sam, his ex-Navy Seal friend, and Sharon plays Madeline, his hypochondriac mother.
Legendary Manhattan Cable Public Access show from 1981 hosted by film historian Ed Hulse (www.muraniapress.com) features interviews with golden age and then current stars, directors, writers and producers who made the movies. Special episode highlighted the relatively then unknown Sam Raimi eager to get publicity for his first feature film, THE EVID DEAD. Down in the basement in the house with the police outside
There's something secret hidden away
In various crates in a paralyzed state
Are the heads for the mood of the day
There's one full of piety and one for anxiety
And one for when we're heading for war
And one for the masses and the privileged classes
And one that does nothing at all
The replaceable heads are for the government leaders
Who always seem to change their politics
Like the head for the nation doesn't deal with immigration
Cos patriots and riots don't mix
When the head for the day says "I'll do it this way"
Remember the replaceable head
Cos when they get elected their decisions are rejected
Completely contradicting what they said
So don't trust the politicians
They don't make their own decisions
Cos they haven't got their heads screwed on
For everything that's said it's just another head
And a politician's words can be replaced
But then maybe I am wrong I mean this is just a song
Is it just that politicians are two-faced?
