A cult film actor, Campbell is best known for portraying Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's hit Evil Dead franchise, from the 1978 short film Within the Woods to the currently ongoing TV series Ash vs. Evil Dead. He also has starred in many low-budget cult films such as Crimewave (1985), Maniac Cop (1988), Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat (1989), and Bubba Ho-Tep (2002). Campbell is of Scottish descent.
Campbell started his directing career with Fanalysis (2002) and A Community Speaks (2004), and then with the horror comedy feature films Man with the Screaming Brain (2005) and My Name Is Bruce (2007), the latter being a spoof of his career. In television, Campbell also is known for his lead roles in both The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (1993-1994) and Jack of all Trades (2000), his starring role of Autolycus (the King of Thieves) in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess (1995-1999), and notably for his role as Sam Axe on the USA Network series Burn Notice (2007-2013).
Bruce Campbell (15 June 1912 – 9 January 1993) was an English ornithologist, writer and broadcaster, closely associated with the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO).
Campbell was born in Southsea, Hampshire on 15 June 1912. As a young boy, he was influenced by his father, an army officer, birds-nester and egg-collector, who later became the British Army's Inspector of Physical Training. After education at Winchester College, he studied at the University of Edinburgh, obtaining a BSc in forestry. He later gained a doctorate in comparative bird studies, so becoming one of the first field naturalists to also be a trained scientist. In 1938, he married Margaret Gibson-Hill, herself a writer, with whom he had two sons and one daughter. From 1936 to 1948, he was a teacher and university lecturer. After World War II, he brought the work of sound recordist Ludwig Koch to the attention of the BTO. In 1948, Campbell was appointed the first full-time secretary of the BTO, a post he held until 1959. He served on the panel of the Wildlife Collection with Julian Huxley, and was active in the British Ornithologists' Union, the British Ecological Society, and conservation bodies. He conducted a pioneering study of the pied flycatcher at the Nagshead woodland reserve, Gloucestershire. He made radio and television broadcasts relating to natural history for the BBC during the 1950s. In April 1959, despite his having had no previous experience as a producer, he was appointed senior producer at the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol, a position he held until 1962. He died on 9 January 1993 in Witney, Oxfordshire.
(Keith) Bruce Campbell QC (25 October 1916 – 1990) was a New Zealand-born British lawyer, judge and politician. As a barrister, he specialised in divorce law, and during a brief Parliamentary career he also concentrated on family law issues. His term in office as a judge ended in scandal and enforced removal from office.
Campbell was born in Christchurch, New Zealand and attended Christchurch Technical College and Canterbury University. He moved to London in the late 1930s to undertake postgraduate training at the University of London. When his course was over in 1941 he was given an officer's commission in the Royal Army Service Corps; he served in North Africa and Italy.
On demobilisation Campbell was called to the bar at the Inner Temple. He practised in divorce law, usually on the North-Western circuit, and served on the General Council of the Bar from 1956 to 1960 and from 1965 to 1970. He was made a Queen's Counsel in 1964.
Bruce Campbell (October 20, 1909 – June 17, 1995) was a professional baseball player from 1930 to 1942. Campbell began his career with the Chicago White Sox, but had very little playing time in the major leagues. In 1932, Campbell was traded from the White Sox to the St. Louis Browns, with Bump Hadley, for Red Kress. In St. Louis, Campbell was a starting outfielder, and performed well, driving in 106 runs in 1933. In the 1935 season, Campbell played with the Cleveland Indians, after being traded for multiple players and cash. In Cleveland, Campbell hit for considerably higher averages than he had in St. Louis, although injuries limited his playing time.
In January 1940, the Indians traded Campbell to the Detroit Tigers for Beau Bell. The trade worked out for Campbell, as the Tigers won the American League pennant, and Campbell played all seven games of the 1940 World Series. Campbell had nine hits, four walks, scored four runs, five runs batted in and a home run in the World Series, with a batting average of .360, on-base percentage of .448 and slugging percentage of .520.
Robert Wallace Bruce Campbell (2 May 1890 – 16 October 1964) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton, Fitzroy and Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
Campbell, a Victorian by birth, was brought up in Western Australia and debuted for Subiaco in 1908.
He started his VFL career at Carlton, appearing in the opening three rounds of the 1911 season. His first two league game ended in draws and the third was decided by a margin of just two points. They would be the only games he played for Carlton and he finished the season at Fitzroy.
Used as a forward, Campbell made an immediate impression at his new club and despite only playing the second half of the season was their leading goal-kicker with 25 goals. He would only make six appearances in 1912 and decided to return to Subiaco.
Campbell continued playing for Subiaco until 1919, although he missed three seasons during the war. He was a member of Subiaco's 1913 and 1915 premiership winning teams.

Zombie-battling hero Ash (Bruce Campbell) takes on an army of undead after being sent back in time.
The stars of "Ash vs. Evil Dead" have a slight disagreement about who caused all the trouble with the Deadites.
At tonight’s SXSW premiere of EVIL DEAD RISE, an angry audience member loudly said “this movie sucks” and got called out by Bruce Campbell on stage.
Ask Bruce Campbell, and he’ll tell you he’s “sick of over-trained heroes. I'm really bored with that. Guys that are just ripped to shreds and, you know, full of skills. That's boring to me. Give me the mechanic that picks up a weapon, you know? Now I'm interested. That's my hero. That could be me.” Ash Williams of the Evil Dead franchise IS that hero. Part of the lasting appeal of the best character Bruce Campbell has ever played is that the audience can see themselves in him, like if they were pressed into fighting an army of Deadites, they could take up the mantle, the chainsaw, the boomstick, and mow down wave after wave of the undead masses. In this video, we take a look at Campbell's long career, from his debut in The Evil Dead through his brushes with fame in the nineties, through hi...

well if you listen, you're learnin', the money i'm earnin'
i'm from hollis queens and not from mt. vernon
people all over the place, i'm tellin' you now
it's guaranteed for treble and bass, and showin' you how
to kick out rhymes like a blizzard kicks snow
'cause my name is young mc, the boy that's good to go
'cause i'm rough like hunter, clever like macguyver
rock the mic 24/7 don't spit saliva
cold like ice and hot like fire
givin' you a shock like a plug and a wire
'cause people go crazy when the mic's in my hand
'cause i'm like robocop and you're a regular man
my rhymes are mine and not stolen, the mic that i'm holdin'
you told me some rhymes that was weak so i was rollin'
around on the ground 'cause it was so damn funny
don't call me honey, no you never make no money
my rhymes are written, fresh and never bitten
i'm standing, you are sittin', you hear me and then you're quittin'
you're out of the game, nobody knows your name
and your claim to fame is that you show no shame
new york to california, yes coast to coast
and i'm dustin' mcs like ghostbusters dust ghosts
i wrote a little record for the hip and the hop
my name is young, the record's called non stop
non stop for the rhythm, non stop for the rhyme
non stop for the people who are right on time
non stop for the treble, non stop for the bass
non stop for the brotha' who is on the case
i came here to prove a point and to try my best
to get the people on the floor in three minutes or less
there'll be no time for cuttin', no time for mix
to do in three what other rappers can't do in six
'cause i was chillin' at a party, the record was playin'
"this is brand new", that's what the dj was sayin'
but no matter what the people stand on the wall
they'd have more fun goin' shoppin' at a shoppin' mall
so then the dj called me over to help out that night
he said "yo yo that's young mc", i said "yo yo that's right"
so then i grabbed the microphone, the party started to hop
'cause when i start you know i go non stop
i'm ready willing and able, the mic and turntable
if i'm not on tour, i'm at home watchin' cable
i made "my name is young" and i made "let them know"
so on your mark, get set... here we go
i make the crowd go insane, don't use cocaine
i like to travel a lot because i travel by airplane
sittin' by the window, sleepin' with a bimbo
take you off your balance like your life was in limbo
too hot to handle, hotter than a candle
sloppy like oscar, but neat like tony randall
my rap is inconceivable, it's unbelievable
to me it's easy but to you it's unachievable
this is the lowdown, forget about the flow down
live from new york it's a hip-hop hoedown
my lip service makes you nervous
yo don't play dumb 'cause you know that you deserve this
renegade rebel, rockin' bass, rockin' treble
takin' rap to a higher echelon and level
elevatin' hip-hop, let me make a pit stop
