"Fly Away" is a 1975 song written and performed by John Denver, with Olivia Newton-John (uncredited) on backup vocals. Released as a single from the Windsong album, "Fly Away" peaked at number thirteen on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and spent two weeks atop the adult contemporary chart in early-1976, Denver's sixth number one on this chart. "Fly Away" also peaked at number twelve on the country chart.
The song is an ode to longing for simpler times and a simpler way of life.Rolling Stone magazine remarks, "At this point, John Denver albums are as numerous as potted plants in the apartments of these urbanites, and both are symptoms of the same longing. The singer acknowledges his average listener in 'Fly Away'."
Butterfly is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriterMariah Carey, released on September 16, 1997, by Columbia Records. The album contained both hip-hop and urban adult contemporary sounds, as well as some softer and more contemporary melodies. Throughout the project, Carey worked with Walter Afanasieff, with whom she had written and produced most of the material from her previous albums. She also worked with many famed hip-hop producers and rappers, such as Sean "Puffy" Combs, Kamaal Fareed, Missy Elliott and the Trackmasters. With the latter acts producing most of the album, Butterfly deviated from the contemporary sound of Carey's older work, and was hailed as a defining album of the 1990s and of pop and R&B music.
With Butterfly, Carey continued the transition that began with previous album, Daydream (1995), which pushed her further into the R&B and hip-hop market. The record pushed her music into an hip hop sound, leading her away from the R&B and pop background of her previous work. During her marriage to Tommy Mottola, Carey had little control over the creative and artistic steps she took on her albums, however, after their divorce mid-way through the album's conception, Carey was able to reflect her creative maturity and evolution into the album's writing and recording. Carey wrote in the booklet of her twelfth studio album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (2009), that she considers Butterfly her magnum opus and a turning point in both her life and career.
The song entered and peaked at #4 on Swedish Trackslistan on 24 February 2007 and charted for six weeks. The song peaked at #1 on the Swedish singles chart on 22 February 2007.
"Tokyo" is a song by Englishindierock bandAthlete and is the third track on their 2007 albumBeyond the Neighbourhood. The song was released as the second single from that album on November 19, 2007 (see 2007 in British music). The song charted at #198 making it Athlete's lowest charting single to date, partly due to a lack of promotion, and partly due to UK Chart guidelines discounting sales of the EP version (thus only sales of the 7" were counted).
"Tokyo" is a single by The Adicts, released under the name ADX, produced by the band with ex-Vapors frontman David Fenton. It was the first of two singles by the band released on Sire Records. A remixed version of the song later appeared on the band's next album Smart Alex.

some say the name of this song is 'fly away'. the lyrics are a bit obscure, too. please let me know your thoughts here ! ^_^

I see a light at the end of the road It's gonna run us down, run us down I've got a plan, I'm putting on a show I'm gonna please the crowd, please the crowd I'm gonna say what we both already know This ship is sinking now, sinking now You leave me here, you can make it to the shore I promise I won't drown, I won't drown I'll be here Go find help I'll hang on Fly away, fly away from me 'Cause it ain't no love if it ain't sent free And if you return It was meant I am certain Fly away fly away from me I made our bed and its feeling kinda cold You used to warm it up, warm it up Walls made of sheets and pillows made of stone Are caving in on us, in on us I'll be here Go find help I'll hang on Fly away, fly away from me cause it ain't no love if it ain't sent free And if you return It was meant I am certain fly away fly away from me
