Trivia[]
- Chef Hatchet is the only character to appear and have dialogue in every episode of Total DramaRama.
- According to Deven Mack, one of the reasons behind Chef's recasting was because Fresh TV didn't think Clé Bennett (Chef's voice actor from the original series) could fully commit himself to the role again given his recent involvement in several Hollywood productions that would possibly lead to scheduling conflicts with the show's recordings. Mack has clarified that Fresh TV didn't fire Bennett and he would gladly give him back the role if there was an opportunity for Bennett to reprise Chef.
- Clé Bennett's recasting with Deven Mack would later carry on for his main counterpart in the reboot.
- According to Apoca-lice Now, he is 7 feet tall. Since he's presumably the same age as his original counterpart, it's possible that this is his height for the main series as well.
- In Venthalla, Chef's right eye is revealed to be a prosthetic glass eye.
- In Hic Hic Hooray, it is shown via a flashback that Chef has an older brother. As Total DramaRama is set in an alternate universe, it is unknown if his brother exists in the main series.
- In Not Without My Fudgy Lumps, it's revealed that Chef's first name is Norbert.
- He shares the same name with Harold from original Total Drama, whose one of his names are also Norbert.
- If Norbert is Chef's real first name in the main series, this leaves Sanders as the only character in the franchise to not have her first name revealed.
- It was revealed in The Price of Advice that Chef is allergic to cucumber.
- It is a running gag throughout the series that Chef often gets his car destroyed.
- It was revealed in Be Claws I Love You, Shelley, that Chef's favorite food is lobster and he has an uncontrollable appetite for it.
